   Thank you! I’ve been waiting for a deal on fire ladders! But I’m really disappointed that these are single-use only. I understand if it was actually used in a fire and might be onlinepromised by the heat, but I would definitely want to:
   A. make sure that it works properly when we get it, and
   B. have my kids practice using it so that they are prepared if they ever need it. It’s not quite as easy as pulling a pin and spraying a fire extinguisher. Thank you so much for posting these, though!

  I would reonlinemend buying 2 so that you can have one for practice.

   It Is a two pack so you could practice with one. I was reading the reviews and I think you could practice with it, the problem might be repacking it. It’s set to unfold in case of a fire and it might be hard to get it to fold again to its original form. They also are saying that it might damage your siding. The ends dig and scratch your siding. This wouldn’t be an issue in case of a fire but it might if your are just going to practice. I’m it’s you, I would like to practice with the kids and show them how to set it up etc in case of a fire.

  I have these. You can pull the Velcro tab to show it unfold for your kiddos. We practiced throwing it over the end of the bed and stepping over onto the top step. Also practice opening the windows and kicking out the screens.

   Check with your local firehouse to see if you can borrow one for a home drill as many have portable ladders they use as examples in fire safety classes and some will even look over your safety plan with you.

   We had a massive fire in our neighborhood on Sunday and 20 homes were damaged/destroyed. But thankfully, no injuries! I’ll share this link in our neighborhood page. I know lots of neighbors want to be better prepared.
