How do you get the ECBs when you shop online?

    • jax

They get loaded to your card, just a word of caution check to make sure they give all of your ECB after a purchase. I had an instance where I bought 2 items and should have had two of that specific ECB only got 1 and customer service was unresponsive.

      • Denise C

I agree when shopping online it is hard to see when you get your ECB back on your account and customer service is very unhelpful. I had an occasion where I was supposed to receive some ECB after a purchase and I never got a notification by email or with my package in the mail about getting it so I kept calling CVS, all of their different divisions and nobody was helpful at all and then I found out that it had expired but I never knew I had earned it. It was very disappointing.

        • mel

earned eb’s will be sent to your card AFTER your purchase has shipped, and from there you can print from your online acct, send to card or print out when you scan your card at the store kiosk. I’ve not had any trouble with online orders, and have received all my eb’s as expected. The only downside is that you only have like 5 days to send or print, or you lose the eb (the exp date is still 30 days after sent or printed).

I have had the worst luck with bucks earned from online purchases – I have never received any of them. There is a CVS on the corner of my job so I visited it everyday at lunch time after the product shipped and then was received. After 2 weeks I called customer service asking what happened. She said it will appear after product ships. I asked, when? Day after? Week after? How quickly does it disappear? Why isn’t it available on the app so that I can add to card? She had no answer. She said it expired a few days earlier but would honor and add it back since she saw I didn’t use it. Impossible. I went every single day at noon to check that red box. I have tried this 3 or 4 times, because sometimes product is available online but not in store. I have given up – if I can’t buy in store (that earns bucks) I won’t buy. I sent a letter of onlineplaint to customer service, asking for the bucks to be included inside the package with the product, attached to the packing slip, something.

      • Jenn

I know it is frustrating, I dealt with that too, but finally got a hold of someone in customer service that explained you have to watch for it AND you have to ADD it to your card. So you have to sign in to your account (or in the app) and literally click to add or send it to the card. That is the only way you will get them.

I did the toothpaste deal in store and it worked perfectly. Gotta love free toothpaste.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

I know! I love grabbing free toothpaste! Glad you could score the deal!

  4. Laurie

Thank you so much! I had some ECB expiring and I won’t be able to get there. Plus I needed toothpaste

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

      Oh good! You’re welonlinee, Laurie!

can’t we redeem ECB in an online order? if we can , could anyone help me how to redeem it.

    • riss

Just above the subtotal before you checkout, there is a place to put your code for free shipping. Right below that, it says : Apply Extracare deals and rewards. Click on that and your EBs will onlinee up and you choose which EB you want to use. Careful, coz once you click your EB, I dont think you can undo it.

      • Mickey

        Thank you

I ordered 3 crest toothpaste and 1 oral b toothbrush 2 pack, coz I have $4 off $12 offer. I only got one $2EB for the 3 Crest toothpaste. I thought the limit was 2 =$4 EB, like in the store). I called Customer service, waited 12 minutes and it was a bad connection, so CS hang up. I called again, waited 13 minutes, spoke with CS then to CVS.online person, who explained that I only got $2 EB because the limit was one online (?) Even though the receipt breakdown says 2 $2EB. She said store offer is different from online offer. That’s after over 30 minutes call, mostly on hold. Grrr! On a happy note, I also purchased Schick women’s razor and Gillette fusion 5, and after all the coupons online, I only paid $1.48 for both razors plus $4EB 🙂 If you have (2) $5 off $20 razor coupons, they were both applied to the purchase.

  7. Becky

Thank you! I ordered everything here and was able to pay with gift cards I already had. Now I just need to remember to apply my EBs when they beonlinee available.

  8. Yw

    Sold out?

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Yes, It seems the toothpaste is now sold out. Thanks for the heads up! The post has been updated!

  9. Nancy

I also got Skintimate Gel for .79c – there were two coupons for it – one for $2 and one for $1 and both seemed to have worked. Great in onlinebination with free shipping! Thank you!

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Great deal! I’m not finding those coupons now as I search through.

  10. Lissa C

I just did this deal and it worked perfectly! Thank you! I love the online deals when they have free shipping!

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

      ME TOO! You’re very welonlinee!

  11. Missyv

This is why i have grown to dislike CVS… they caught on to the hype of them selling quickly online, and now the ones available say only sold in store! They certain are NOT for the consumers! Done with them.

  12. Beth

Has anyone else had issue with on-line orders being cancelled ? Especially when free shipping is offered? I ordered yesterday used all my coupons/deals only to find this morning it was cancelled oh yeah and – bonus ALL my high value coupons are poof- gone from card I’m just waiting until customer service opens – they drink a few cups of coffee and then I shall unleash my wrath as every item is still available online – this has happened before during a free ship promo

    • mel

From what I’ve gathered, is that your order gets processed to a random store, not a warehouse. So if something is OOS (even if it’s just one item!) on that stores end, your order gets cancelled, b/c they can’t fulfill it (and the item/s will still show available to sell online)
It doesn’t make sense, but that’s CVS for ya!
I believe after an order is cancelled, any eb’s used will be reissued automatically. (This is new, b/c for many months you had to call. But my friend had an order cancelled about 2 wks ago and was surprised a few hrs later having the eb’s back to send to her card) Not sure about crt’s, she didn’t use any. Good luck with CS. I have heard they are not pleasant to deal with concerning online cancelled orders!

      • Beth

Hi – just wanted to give a quick update was on the phone w/the BEST CS rep ever in my life -Doris for awhile why she painfully researched what had happened to no avail – so when she was replacing my order (inc coupons, etc) it was kicked back – seems the Crest toothpaste deal did me in – at some point CVS realized that the toothpaste (EB deal) was available online and switched it to in store only – so it was guessed that was why orig order was cancelled (although it was agreed that it was clearly available yesterday as order went through- shady boots CVS !! –but gotta give props to Doris who rocked I’m getting everything but the toothpaste with expedited shipping – restored my faith in customer service but CVS not so much LOL

  13. Karen

I did this deal in store and used a 25% off non sale items coupon that was emailed to me. I paid $4.04 after 25%, minus $1.00 oral b toothbrush coupon, $3 cash back, so 4 cents for 2! Happy…

  14. Michelle Lar

Where exactly will the ECB show up online to add to your card? Should it be under the Deals & Rewards? I ordered yesterday and the order shipped today but I cant find any ECB on my account.

    • mel

Online (or in the app), it’ll be under ‘deals and rewards’ tab, “earned extrabucks” and will say NEW in the eb box. If it just shipped, you may have to wait a bit for it to show up.
