Thanks for posting this! I’ve always wanted to take my kids to one of these workshops and I was able to register and take them to the one this past weekend, thanks to a H2S post reminding me! It was fun! Now we’re all registered for next month’s workshop!

    • Kimberly (Stylish Sidekick)

You’re so welonlinee, Jen! I’m glad to hear you all enjoyed it!

We’ve been going to these for the last few months. This past weekend we got to look through the book at what’s onlineing for the year and there’s some pretty neat stuff. We were also informed if you collect 10 pins and 25 pins you get a special pin.

    • Monkey

How do you get the special pin?

    • Lindsey

Ohhh!!! Do you remember what’s onlineing?

  3. Kelly

What age would you reonlinemend these projects for?

    • Ingrid

My son has been doing it since he was 19 months, he’s almost 3 now. We basically do the “building” while he pretends to hammer and then he does all the painting. He loves to paint. They also give you a certificate with a pin and chips/juice.

      • Kelly

        Thank you!! 🙂

    • Lo

My niece is the same age and goes to the events. She did hammer with help and enjoyed the snack and painting the most.

Crafts are designed for children ages 5-12 per home depot. My husband worked there and ran the kids workshops often. They are definitely not intended for small children. They do not turn them away though. I personally do age appropriate crafts with my kids so they are actually doing it and not me. Now that my older one turned 5, I will start bringing her to these.

My sons three and just got his 25th pin we love these work shops daughter is 9 months and will start once she’s walking good too

I feel really dumb (pregnancy brain?) but I’m not understanding the registration. Do I put just my daughter as the participant, or both of us? I don’t want to build two, but do they need my info?

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

You could just put your child’s name and your email. Hope that helps!

  6. Angela

Is 12 year old too old for this?

    • Christie

My son’s just turning 13 and he still enjoys doing these events. He reads the instructions and I’m just there to help if he needs it.
