I honestly didn’t know advent calendars were a thing for adults. Its a fun idea. I wouldn’t pay this much for one

  2. Kim

They are good for teens as well esp. if you have younger kids who do the toy type ones, this is a good alternative for older tweens/teens to have one to do too.

  3. Katie

I love this idea for my teenager but I also don’t want to pay this much. I’ve been looking for a cheaper one similar to this one but haven’t found much. Thanks for posting this item & sale though. Fun idea!

Have you tried making your own? It is more work but you can put things in it that you know your teen will love. You usually can do it more cheaply if you look for deals and you can use free samples that you get if you order makeup from other beauty sites. Ulta also has the $10 for $10 usually in December too so you can use some of that also.

I onlinepletely agree. I do that and make my own with small toys for younger kids too. I typically wrap in small packages for each day that I hang on their own mini Christmas tree. They all love it and get things that they’ll actually use.

I did Ulta’s beauty advent calendar last year for my teenager.

  4. Katie

That’s a great idea. I didn’t know Ulta did the $10 for $10. Thank you for all the suggestions. I think I’m going to try that. 😊

I did their advent calendar with my college-age daughter last year and we took turns opening the doors and getting the gift. We loved all the things they included. But, the cost has gone up a lot from last year. I believe it was $50 and I got a discount. $70 is a little hard to swallow – and I think $63 is still pretty high. I think I am going to skip this year, which is too bad because we both had a lot of fun doing it last year.

Thanks so much for the feedback! I’m glad to hear that you enjoyed it last year!

  6. Kat

Sephora has their own for $36-45

Thanks for the heads up, Kat!

Tried to use the 10% code today and they say it is not valid 🙁
