Pumpkin Spice Latte at Starbucks

Fall starts TODAY at Starbucks! ☕️ 🎃

Starting today, August 28th, the popular Pumpkin Spice Lattes and Pumpkin Spice Frappuccinos are back for a limited time at Starbucks locations across the country – the earliest release ever!

Celebrating its 15th year, the Pumpkin Spice Latte onlinebines espresso and steamed milk with real pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg and clove. Then it’s topped with whipped cream & pumpkin pie spices.

If fall had a flavor, I’m betting it would be Pumpkin Spice! 🍂

Fans will also be able to purchase the popular Salted Caramel Mocha, another seasonal favorite, which blends mocha sauce and toffee nut syrup, onlinebined with espresso and milk. It’s then topped with whipped cream, caramel drizzle, and a blend of turbinado sugar and sea salt. Enjoy it hot or cold!

Starbucks fall bakery treats

Also joining the lineup this year are returning bakery favorites like pumpkin scones, as well as NEW sweet treats such as Apple Cider Doughnuts, Maple Pecan Muffins, Morning Muffins, and even cute Owl Sugar Cookies and Cat Cake Pops. My mouth is watering! 😋

Can these Fall drinks be made low sugar? If so how do u order it? TIA 😊

    • Amanda

I want to know this too! Can either of those be keto-fied?

    • Dkp91576

Last year they did not have sugar free Pumpkin Spice pump. You would have to go with something like sugar free French Vanilla and almond milk latte.

    • 50ShadesofLipstick

Virtually every single drink at Starbucks is loaded w/ sugar…definitely not keto-friendly. You can just order some kind of basic drip coffee/espresso, request only steamed heavy cream on top (in place of their standard “whipped cream” which has sugar!), one of their sugar-free syrups, and then ask that they sprinkle pumpkin spice on top (assuming that it doesn’t contain sugar in the ingredients). Be warned that “skinny” isn’t low carb and that their almond milk contains sugar too.

    • Jessie

I order a Grande Pumpkin Spice Latte with an extra espresso shot and only 2 pumps of the pumpkin spice. That saves you about 15 grams of sugar. I don’t love super sweet tastes, so the extra espresso shot helps with that. Sometimes, I’ll even order with only 1 pump. The standard for a Grande is 4 pumps of pumpkin spice and 2 shots espresso.

    • Shop624

      order as 1/2 sweet .

    • AZ

A Grande PSL has 52 grams of sugar in it. So if you are serious about avoiding sugar or on keto, then you’d want to avoid the PSL and make one yourself at home (it’s insanely simple to do). Even if you request 2 pumps as the above onlinementer said, you’re still looking at 26 g of sugar in one drink…lol

    • 50ShadesofLipstick

Sorry, duplicate onlinement…the H2S app runs awfully slow and weird on my phone!

    • Alexa

You can save 150 calories by getting it with almond milk and skipping the whip. But it isn’t offered sugar free unfortunately.

You can follow @macrobarista on Instagram. He is a Starbucks barista and recreates lots of favorites with less sugar/calories/carbs…lots of great recipes.

      • ILoveTX

I follow @themacrobarista too but his version has a whopping 12g of carbs in it…even he said that there’s no low-carb version of the PSL. 12g is more than half the daily allowance on a keto diet. Better off getting a misto w/ HWC and the pumpkin spice mix (of actual spices, not the syrup) dusted on top.

I can’t cheat on summer with a fall item like this lol… I’ll wait for Sept 23rd to indulge in one

    • Melissa

Lol so funny😁😁Thanks for the laugh.

  3. katie

can’t wait to pick one of these up!! fav drink and my fav time of year!!!

  4. Emily

Finally! πŸ™‚ I spend 3/4 of the year wishing these were at Starbucks!

  5. Maurice

Folks are addicted to the sugar, simple as that. Without it, there wouldn’t be much crave for it.

    • Dkp91576

Silly folks! Always addicted to something… (Waiting on line for my toffee nut latte with cinnamon sprinkle).

    • Kate

I went a year eating mostly fruits and veggies, minimal meat and never touching sugars or gluten. It was a miserable year and tends to lead someone to make onlinements like yours. Yes, there are some major consumption problems in America but total avoidance is not worth the extra year you may or may not add to your life. Moderation.

    • AZ

What’s your point? That sugar is addictive? That supply and demand are a thing? Why are you really mad tho?

  6. CarrieL

I love their pumpkin scones and they’re available now too!

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

YUM! Those do sound good! Thanks for sharing!

  7. Stacy

Haha thank you Dkp91576 πŸ™‚ right there with ya silly wabbit!! Gotta have my caffeine /sugar addiction to get through the day…better than drugs and alcohol imo πŸ˜‰

  8. Deb

I like the salted caramel but actually think McDonalds pumpkin spice is better than Starbucks. I drink Pumpkin Spice all year long. I buy the kcups on clearance…and lots of them. Probably my favorite flavor.

    • TonyaPrz

I totally agree Deb! And I also have the k-cups all year on rotation πŸ˜‰

    • Dealzgurl

I kind of like McDonald’s caramel frappe better than the caramel frappucino at Starbucks. I was thinking that the other day and thought oh wow.

      • Me

How much are the McDonald’s drinks? Are they a lot less? Just curious now since I never go there.

  9. Dani O

Already got my first of the season this morning. But my bigger countdown is Sbux snowman sugar cookies.

  10. Mimi

If y’all aren’t playing summer boardwalk game get on it! I don’t hold out much hope for 10yrs of free drinks, but I have accumulated 80 starts and that pushed me over to a free drink. Got me a giantic trenta sized refresher.

    • Monica

I have won ten stars sixteen times so far. 160 stars without a purchase playing every day.

  11. Dealzgurl

Sometimes I feel like the only person around who doesn’t get excited about the return of pumpkin-flavored everything, lol!

    • Deb

Judging from some onlinements last year, you are not the only one. The pumpkin spice haters will be posting soon. LOL

  12. Stephanie

It is 102F with the heat index today- it is too hot.

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Yes! SO hot here in PA too! Stay cool, Stephanie!

  13. Dylan Fan

I just bought torani SF pumpkin spice flavor from world market and it is amazing with my Folgers and HWC. Who needs Starbucks?!

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      How cool! Enjoy!

  14. FosterMomsNeverHaveEmptyNestSyndrome

Salted Caramel Mocha is back too
    😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Dropped off my youngest at school~ first kid free day in years!! I celebrated with a Venti SCM and didn’t think twice!

  15. Kristina

Ehhhh. Let me know when gingerbread is back.

  16. Denise

You can get a small for 2 bucks. Also if you download the McDonald’s app they usually always have a buy one get one free or for 1 cent offer. You can’t beat that!

  17. Deb

Yes they are cheaper especially with the app. Right now there is a buy one get one for a penny. That makes the large hot mocha lattes around $3.65 for two!!!
