Same! I believe it’s the baking soda. I still love it and use it sparingly. Unfortunately I think it’s the baking soda that’s effective.

Do you have a nut allergy? If it has Shea butter, it will cross react with nut sensitivities. I like it and use it for travel.

I want to love this deodorant so bad but I’ve tried every scent and they all give me the WORST rash under my arms. I’ve never had any other brand of natural deodorants that.

Thanks for mentioning that all scents give you a rash…. I wear it and love it but my daughter gets a rash. I was wondering if it was just one specific scent but after your onlinement, I won’t bother having her try another.

Same here! I love the way it works and smells, but I get a rash with every scent. I’ve tried other kinds of natural deodorant too, and the ones that work give me a rash and the ones that don’t give me a rash don’t work!

I started having problems too. My poor pits get super itchy. I thought maybe it was the scent. My son hasn’t had any issues. Otherwise I love this do. It worked so well until it bothered my skin. Major bummer.

Hi! It is the baking soda that is causing you to break out, I would bet. I experience the same thing and contacted their customer service. They sent me a stick from their sensitive line. I’ve ordered from them again, more expensive than Target but it’s because their sensitive line isn’t sold in stores (or at least wasn’t at the time.)

I LOVE this deodorant as well. For the people who get rashes, have you tried the sensitive ones? They don’t contain baking soda I believe, so maybe that would help?

You need the sensitive kind. Same thing happened to me. It’s the baking soda that causes some people to break out!

Best natural deodorant I have ever tried! I seriously have tried so many. Primal, lavanilla, native, toms, arm & hammer, crystal. This is the only one I can wear all day to work and still smell fresh! I love the rose vanilla. A little goes a long way!

Those that got a rash- it’s the baking soda that causes that. Baking soda is very abrasive and not suitable for sensitive areas like the face or underarms. Natural doesn’t always =/= good for you or safe unfortunately.

My armpits turned dark when I used it. The same happened when I used Native , and that was more expensive than Schmidt’s. Back to crystal for me, but that one has aluminum, too:(

I’m so glad to hear someone else had the same problem. I thought I was crazy. Kinda turned my underarms a little dusky. I had to do some serious exfoliating to my skin back to normal. Other than that, I really truly loved this. It smells great, and works super great. Just can’t get over the staining.

I tried this before and got the rash like others. I’m using Piper Wai now and won’t use anything else. Charcoal based, simple ingredients and no staining.

I love this deo so much. It is honestly the only natural one that works. It smells so Good! But, I was experienced a rash and burning! I now apply coconut oil before I use and that seems to help.

This is the only deoderant I use confidently to fight the stank. I also would get a rash. So what I’ve found to do is use other natural deoderants that I’ve bought, that are more cream based (that didn’t fight BO) and put that on top of the Schmidt’s. I haven’t had any more rashes. All that matters is there’s no more aluminum under my stink free armpits!

I wanted to love it so badly, but it left residue on my clothes that I still haven’t gotten out, I had to reapply during the day when it was hot or else I smelled bad, and even with warming it up a bit, it was ROUGH and hard to apply well. I didn’t get a rash, but it made my pits tender because of how rough it was.
