  I don’t know when this happened, but Angel Soft lowered the sheet count on mega rolls. They are no longer exactly four times as large as regular rolls. Now a mega roll is more like 3.67 times a regular roll. A mega roll used to have 528 sheets. Now it has 484 sheets.

  Current sheet counts: regular roll 132 sheets, big roll 198 sheets, family roll 220 sheets, double roll 264 sheets, jumbo roll 286 sheets, triple roll 396 sheets, mega roll 484 sheets.

  I don’t know. I buy 12pks of double rolls. I don’t know if a mega roll would fit on my holder. This mega roll pack is basically equivalent to four 12pks of double rolls.

  $16.94 ÷ 4 = $4.24 per 12pk of double rolls

  I only buy them if they are on sale for $4.99 or less. Albertsons and Winn Dixie often have them for $4.99. Winn Dixie occasionally has them for $3.99, but you have to buy two.

   I’ve learned with toilet paper, the only accurate way to figure out if it’s a good deal is to go by the sq ft, NOT per roll or sheet… Since those can vary wildly. A good stock up price is .01 per sq ft.

  Thank u Kristin, Sara, & everyone on this post for your very helpful advice & insight regarding TP!! After reading all the onlinements, I’m tending to agree with the square footage assessment. But wouldn’t the ply count (mm thickness) be important to factor in as well with the sq. ft? If it’s thin (one-ply) vs a thicker (two-ply) count.
