I own 2 of these. I use for my daughters art supplies. If you’re lucky ok’ing for a sturdy cube these aren’t for you. They work fine for markers/crayons/coloring books.

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Thanks for sharing Megann! I agree! My kiddos have a few of these in their playroom that hold craft supplies. They have worked well for those!

  2. Megann

    Looking*

  3. Abbie

I agree. They are extremely flimsy. I got one to hold all our unmatched socks and it is very flimsy just holding that.

    • amy111

That’s what I use mine for too. I got one for each person in my family to keep them seperate. Works for us!

You guys should spot light the space saver bags! Trully a great value and they even sell the 10 (or 12 not sure) count cases online. Way way cheaper than getting them anywhere else even if one or two out of the box ends up “failing” on you.

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Thanks for the suggestion Vanessa! I will for sure pass that along to the team!

    • Scarlet B

Yes! My Ziploc brand space saver bags failed after opening and resealing *once*. My dollar tree bags are opened twice a year (I store flannel sheets in the summer and regular sheets in the winter), and are still going strong 3 years later.

  5. Karis

I agree. Bought a few to hold small stuffed animals and tossed them in less than a month because they were already bent. I wouldn’t reonlinemend for anything like books at all. Just my opinion!

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Oh darn! Sorry to hear they did not hold up Karis! Thanks for the honest onlinement!

  6. Lana

Don’t waste your money on these. Put your dollar toward something that will last.

      😉

I agree they are flimsy but they have worked well for me. I have 6 inside my entertainment center. One for DVDs, one for video game stuff and four for “stuff.” They have held up great. I also put one under each of my side tables. One gets a lot of use because we keep gloves and scarves in there and its starting to get a little worn out. But kids aren’t exactly easy on it either.

We bought some a while back. We use them in a brown wood tone bookcase to give a uniform tidy look. We asked the stockers at Dollar Tree for some of the small boxes they were removing inventory from. Wasn’t hard to onlinee up with the right sizes to put into these to give stability. Some of the boxes from the stockers had to be cut off (height wise) so the cardboard wouldn’t show. ‘
Ours look super cool in the bookcase. We have three different sizes in the speckled chocolate color. Our shelf heights are staggered depending on what we need to store. These collapsible units hide a lot of unsightliness.
Dollops of fabric glue can be used at the corners to hold the back side of the fabric units to the cardboard boxes. I used stick on small self adhesive type velcro pieces to keep ours in place.

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

How neat! Thanks for sharing your tips on making them a bit more stable! Good to know!

      • Patty d

        Great tip thanks!!

    • Karis

      That’s an awesome idea!!

    • Scarlet B

That’s a great idea! Thanks for sharing.

Yes, I agree with everyone! I own two, one for storing my Rubbermaid lids and other for the containers.. It’s ok for that purpose

    • Stephanie

Great idea to store the lids!

  11. Rebecca

I have older green and blue ones, same brand, sizes. Use them for small toys in organizers in kid’s rooms. Mine are a couple years old now and still do the job. I think 1-2 handles have fallen off(out of about 8) and yes they are flimsy (especially when kids take the cardboard out to use as “landing strips” lol), but I still think they are a good value for $1. I plan on buying more.

  12. Morgan Kellie

I have a dozen of these on my shelves in the laundry room (mop accessories, lightbulbs, air fresheners, etc) and they work great! I’ve honestly not had a problem with them and they have held up really well!

  13. Kelly

They are a little flimsy but I use them in our linen closet and kids closets, so just an adult is using and they hold up.

  14. Tanique

I have 3 if these that I use in my tween daughters room from another Hip post. I put them in different drawers to keep her items neater. sox in one, bras/undies in another & she has one for extra swim stuff- goggles, swim caps. We’ve had them 4 almost 2 yrs & no issues other than her being a tween

  15. Jill

    I love them

  16. mel

These are great and even better if you use the Konmari folding method! I.can fit 3 of these in each of my dresser drawers and can simply lift one out, fold my laundry, put it in and then slide it into the drawer. It’s fantastic and keeps things so neat… plus now I have extra open space in my drawers where before everything wouldn’t even fit!

  17. Elaine

I agree that they are flimsy and not great for storing most things. I hate dressers so I use a bookshelf for my clothes. I bought the expensive storage cubes for the shirts and pants. I bought these cheap ones to use for underwear and sock storage. They last about a year so it seems worth it to me.

I leave very early for work and my husband is in charge of getting my son ready for school. To avoid early morning fights over what shirt he gets to wear, I have 5 of these for each day of the week. On Sunday, I have my son pack his clothes for the entire week including underwear and socks. This also helps me remember pajama days and other special days, since it’s already in the bin even before the week starts.

    • Holly (Hip2Save Sidekick)

What a great idea, Musk! Thanks for sharing!

  19. Maria

I keep one in the living room with a few diapers and wipes for quick diaper changes. Works great.

  20. AlexisinNC

I love these. We use them to keep cleaning and emergency supplies organized in our car trunks. We also use them in the house for various things. We’ve had the for quite awhile now.

  21. Maleeta

These are cute little light weight fabric bins and I use them for a couple of things. Like separating my ten month old daughters accessories (bows by color, types of socks, shoes, etc) in her drawer.

And for myself, I use them to seperate my deal stuff like coke codes, SW Monopoly, Pampers Points, Box Tops, etc…
