   I do want fans, but the installation cost by Home Depot’s contractors are kind of high. They charger per item. I wonder if Angie’s List or Home Advisor would be cheaper for installation of the fans and maybe the Ring floodlights and the doorbell? Any ideas?

   The hugger fan is really a “get what you pay for.” It was awful to install and there’s no air circulation as it is too close to the ceiling. We ended up taking it down and returning it. I’m not handy, but I’ve installed 3 ceiling fans now. Spring for the Hunter fans (there’s some on sale too) if you can – they’re SO much easier.

  I should mention that I installed the Ménage fan two weeks ago in our guest bedroom. That one is actually rather pretty and wasn’t too bad (there was a decorative cover/cuff that I think was machined incorrectly and we had a really hard time with it), but my biggest gripe is that the integrated LED are not very warm and have a bit of a neutral to bluish tint. If it was anywhere but the guest bedroom, I would have returned it too.
