  This is onlineforting to know this thought was on someone else’s mind. I’ve been scarred since trying to use the coupon for a free can of the La Colombe coffee. They told me my coupon was fake. It was mortifying.

  That’s awful. I would have talked to a manager or corporate because that is wrong. Personally I am going to try to use mine at CVS. Luckily I have a good relationship with them and they know me well. If that doesn’t work out then I’m going to Walmart self checkout. Walmart is not coupon friendly, at least mine isn’t.

  I was accused of the same thing at Target with the Rimmel coupons listed on here before Christmas. The guy said he was the manager. It was beyond ridiculous. I have not been to Target since. Won’t even read the posts here that are solely Target. Shocked that he would think his behavior was acceptable.

  It may have been a different brand cosmetic coupons. There were 3 different coupons face, lip and foundation I think.

  I’m not sure about Target because I don’t shop there, but Walmart’s self checkout is easy. Scan and bag your items. When you are done press finish and pay the then there should be a spot on the payment screen that says coupons. Press coupons and scan a coupon then insert it into the slot close to where you would insert cash (normally there’s a light that blinks to show which slot to put it in) then proceed by scanning your next coupon and inserting it, ect… once you’re done with that you can select your payment method whether card or cash and follow he instructions on the screen.

   Can someone please explain to me how to use the coupon at Target self check out? It’s been a hassle for me using the self check out. Even paying with gift card got me stuck in there and had to wait for someone’s assistance.

  The Target stores I go to do not allow MFR coupons on the self check out. With regards to using gift card someone has to input the access code as an added security protection that just started around the holidays. Not sure if all the Target stores are like it.

   I tried the last scenario, buying the two mascaras for $5,58 each but yhe coupons didn’t scan at the cashier. 🙁 The cashier was very nice. Maybe I will try wity the eyeliner and mascara instead.

   At Target self checkout, you can scan the coupon, but then an employee has to onlinee and check out the coupon and approve it. It’s a PIA.

    I tried to use this at Target at the self-checkout. Because the cashiers have to collect the coupons, I still had to deal with them. They wouldn’t take it. They wanted to charge for the more expensive and what should have been free mascara and give me the eye product free. They were being absolutely ridiculous.

    I had a manger at Walgreens try to limit me to 1 of each coupon. No duplicates, I grudgingly agreed although nothing in the coupon policy says that, and then an item was B2G1 and he checked and verified it but refused to let me have the sale price with a coupon. He said sales can’t be onlinebined with coupons. Then I told him that I’m trying to work with him but he’s being very rude and unfriendly. He accused me of coupon fraud! He started raising his voice and I told him I was calling corporate. Plenty of employees witnessed it. I got along very well with the other staff and managers at that store but this guy in particular was a real jerk. Not the first time something like this has happened couponing though…

    I tried using the coupon with a clearance eyeliner at Target. It wouldn’t scan properly, so the manager came over and said they could not accept the coupon when purchasing a clearance item. ☹️ I decided not to get the items and was disappointed with the experience.

    I used these today at Target, they had eyeliners on clearance for $1.98 so, I bought the 4 eyeliners and then 4 mascaras. The coupon scanned but said “no matching item” the CSM came over and did the coupons and said “I really shouldn’t allow them because the items you are purchasing are on clearance.” I told her to read the coupon and that it said nothing about the item having to be regular priced, she said “good enough for me” and manually entered them. 4 eyeliners and 4 mascaras for must about $8. 😊

    Tried this at both Target and Walmart. Was told that the item must be full price to use this coupon. Tried again with a full price item. Still would not work. Tried this with full price Item and the mascara in the photo on coupon. No go and the manager would not overwrite though clearly it says buy one eye product get 1 mascara free.
