   Would this be easy to use for someone who is not very technology oriented?

  You don’t need a lot of tech know-how to do basic stuff with it (ask questions, play music etc). But if you want to be able to do specific tasks (get Fox News updates, etc) you need to add skills via their phone app, which takes a little techiness. My 80 year old parents have it and use it daily to play music (sounds is really good in this larger unit…so so on The Dot) and check the weather. I added some skills for them during a visit too. Also if you have an Amazon Prime account, you can use it to make purchases, track shipments, etc. Its well worth the money.

  No, Alexa is just part of the Echo. Hope this helps!
