1.) PopSockets

PopSockets are trendy, small accessories that easily adhere to the back of your phone, case, or tablet to help you securely hold your mobile device. They are perfect for whenever you may need a firmer grip to take a selfie or just want a stand to watch YouTube. You can easily collapse them too!

The following stores carry PopSockets, but also be sure to check your local TJMaxx store as you may find them for as low as $3 – thanks for the tip, Kim!

“If you have a large phone and can’t always type on the screen using one hand without dropping it OR just want a quick media stand, these PopSockets are so useful! We’ve loved giving PopSockets as gifts, and they make awesome stocking stuffers too!”

2.) Children’s Books

Children’s books make such a wonderful, practical gift as many can be kept and passed down from generation to generation. The following books are fantastic books that kids and adults will enjoy.

(Be sure to head over to Amazon.online or Walmart.online where they are offering up so MANY awesome deals on popular books for the kiddos – check out our post here for some ideas!)

  • The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein (Age Range: 1-8 years) – The Giving Tree tells the tale of a young boy and the tree who, literally piece by piece, gives her life for him.

  • Dance by Matthew Van Fleet (Age Range: 2 and up) – Young readers will delight in this laugh-out-loud, jazzy story of a little baby chick who learns how to dance from a friendly band of animals who know all the right moves! Get your dancing feet ready!

  • Letters to Me by Lea Redmond (Age Range: 7-13 years) – The Letters to Me books include twelve prompted letters bound into a keepsake book to share stories, draw, or make lists reflecting on what you know now, and what you imagine for the recipients future.

  • Wonder by R.J. Palacio (Age Range: 8-12 years) – August Pullman was born with a facial difference that, up until now, has prevented him from going to a mainstream school. Starting 5th grade at Beecher Prep, he wants nothing more than to be treated as an ordinary kid—but his new classmates can’t get past Auggie’s extraordinary face.

Whenever I am invited to a baby shower, The Giving Tree is always a gift from my husband & myself. I have even chose this book as a house warming gift. Also, if you’ve ever desired to be a better person, Wonder can help you start the journey! Such a heartwarming story!

3.) Fingerlings

Fingerlings have beonlinee one of the most desired toys on holiday shopping lists and are selling out like hot cakes! These little monkeys react to sound, motion and touch, make fun noises, and move in cute ways. They also make kissing sounds, chatter away in monkey babble, open and close their eyes, hang by their tails and more. They onlinee in a variety of colors and many include accessories.

The Fingerlings Monkeys are priced around $14.99 on Amazon, Target and ToysRUs and the Playsets are priced around $19.99-$24.99 at those same stores. Keep in mind that these items sell out quickly online, but we will continue to post them on Hip2Save whenever they are in stock.

Also, you may have better luck finding them in-store versus online, so you may want to head in-store to look.

“My daughter has a fingerling. I think they are adorable and well worth the price, considering many of the HOT toys each year are much more expensive. I like how it is interactive and can be turned off! LOL! I think they even blow kisses, the noises they make are super cute!”

4.) S’ip By S’well Vacuum Insulated Stainless Steel Water Bottle

S’ip by S’well Water Bottles are made from BPA-free double-walled, food-grade, 18/8 stainless steel, and sensibly tested for healthy hydration. Using S’well technology, the 15oz bottles will keep beverages cold for 24 hours and hot for 12 hours – a lot longer than your average bottle!

“I LOVE my S’well bottles because they are cute AND practical. They keep drinks cold for HOURS and make me feel like I am saving the environment too. It’s a WIN-WIN! Plus, they never break!”

5.) Inexpensive Gifts/Stocking Stuffers

If you’re looking for FUN ideas or stocking stuffers for your kiddos or teenagers (and even adults too!), here are a few fun inexpensive items that our kiddos think are awesome…

The tweexy bottle grip system is innovative, practical, onlinepact, economical, and FUN! It securely holds any size bottle, even when your hand is held upside and shaken; yet the bottle can be easily removed from the tweexy.

Color pictures of farting meerkats, dogs, pandas, giraffes, hippos, horses, kittens and more! Keep the pictures for yourself or give them to a friend who needs a laugh. 😉

BUT keep in mind that you can likely make your own for much cheaper and you’ll likely be able to personalize it more! If you’re shopping for a hangry teenager who loves food and not sure what to get them, this is a fun idea!

I am making one for my Hangry son this year!

Oh my gosh, that coloring book, HAHAHA! I asked my husband if we could get it for my kids, but he said no because it would likely end up at church to entertain them, lol!

  2. Kim

My local TJ Maxx had Popsockets for $3!!

    • Erica

      Agree with Kim! Check tjmaxx!

    • Diana

Thanks for sharing! I’ll check my tjmaxx

  3. Lisa

Thank you for these awesome ideas!!! My kids are 11 & 13 and it gets harder to buy for them every year. That farting coloring book is fantastic!!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re very welonlinee Lisa! 😉

  4. hollymconner

If you have a Circut or Silhouette, customizing pop sockets is pretty simple and a good way to personalize gifts. I’m making them for all my teen nieces and nephews with tier favorite bands or tv shows.

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

What a cool idea! Thanks for sharing!

  5. 5boys4me&lee

Thank you! These are great ideas. I’m 40 & a few of these I’d like as well, not the farting coloring book though, lol!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Lol! You’re welonlinee!

  6. ResseCup

Walmart had Popsockets for $2 on thanksgiving. I should have racked up and saved for my nieces and nephews for when report onlinee out soon.

    • Amy

I saw them too but didn’t realize how much of a discount it was!

    • Lauren

They weren’t the pop sockets brand- they were spin pops- so a little different but same concept

  7. JA

Wonder is such a good book! The movie was really good too! And I’m totally stealing the Hangry Box idea. I’ve been buying jerky and candy for their stockings so I will put it in a neat box instead.

  8. Amy

I’m really struggling to onlinee up with ideas for my 14 yo nephew. He’s only asked for video games, which Santa is bringing. I have 13 nieces and nephews so I try to stick to $20 or less if anyone has a suggestion!

    • Nicole

I have a nephew & son the same age. We’re giving him an adidas alliance sports bag and fun athletic socks (like UA, Nike or Stance). All the kids here carry these adidas bags for sports, PE clothes or just going to someone’s house.

      https://www.eastbay.online/product/model:236641/sku:133553/adidas-alliance-ii-sackpack/black/&SID=7726&inceptor=1&cm_mmc=SEM-_-PLA-_-Google-_-133553?gclid=CjwKCAiA6qPRBRAkEiwAGw4SdvrAEPdvKlLtRNdMjCjfl7JfToI52Xyuj-rr8eOZ_i29MFdbheKAcxoCkVQQAvD_BwE

TJ Maxx has the adidas sports bags for $10.

    • Michele M.

My 13 year old nephew told me he wants gift cards this year. Last year, when he turned 12, I gave him a $12 Walmart gift card and 12 one dollar bills.

      • Amy

That’s what my sister suggested as well. I like to do actual gifts but may end up doing that. Thanks!

    • Katy

I would get them a gift card for their video games. iTunes, Nintendo shop money, Steam card, xbox points, playstation money, etc. depending on what type they have. It seems like video games always want you to buy more once you have the game.
How about a personalized bucket/basket to keep all of the games and accessories in?
Basket of their favorite food and drinks?
T-shirt or hoodie of their favorite band, movie, game?
My kids are really into Destiny 2, so we got them posters and a figure for their room. (bungie store)

  9. Charmel

I am going to use the hangry box for my son’s birthday in January. He is only turning 11 but he wants to eat all day and night. I love this. He will have HIS own food. I will fill it with things I approve of so he can just eat whenever he wants and I won’t hear “can I have a snack” all day.

    • Scarlet B

Well, for that one day, anyway…

      • Amy

        😂

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

How fun! What a great idea Charmel!

  10. Nell

    I’ve had a popsocket for about a year now–it’s a must have!!!

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Sweet! Glad to hear how useful it has been! Thanks for the feedback Nell!

  11. Lauren

Would a 9 year old little girl like Shopkins?

    • Amy

My 9 year old was really into them last year and has them on her list again this year.

      • CassCat

Lol i know adults who like them there cute and fun

      • Lauren

Great! Thank you- I did the shopping for the fire dept kids and she was added – huge help!

    • terri

my granddaughter is 9 and she loves them

    • je

Depends on the kid. My daughter and niece don’t care for them.

      • Susie

My daughter never got into them either

    • Amy

My 7 yo niece was obsessed with them last year and wants nothing to do with them now haha. Hard to tell with kids!

      • Erin

Same with my soon-to-be seven year old. I figured they must be out because she hasn’t mentioned them in forever and they’ve been on clearance in a lot of stores.

  12. Shannon

My husband is sooo hangry!! Thanks h2s for all your fun ideas, deals and recipes and making it easier for us all to survive the holidays!

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      You’re very welonlinee Shannon! 😉

  13. Tanya

I like that nail polish holder-never seen that before!

  14. Michele

I found the fingerling monkey at sears for 8.99

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      Great find Michele!

  15. candace

Favorite idea for a tween/teenager. Buy a movie they like (black Friday deals) and buy a $1 personal popcorn tub at Wal-Mart. Buy 98 cent boxes of candy too if you want and make a little gift bag out of it. I’ve also gotten Marcus gift cards bc they have the free $5 snack cash and then include it also. Little movie pack idea. I make them for my teenage nephews.

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Love that idea Candace! Thanks for the suggestion!

  16. Cathy

I did a food box for my 18 yr old daughter last year and she loved it. Going to do one again this year.

  17. V

I found pop sockets at my local Michael’s craft store for $9.99. Pair that with a coupon to get a nice deal!

  18. Charity

Thanks for the great gift ideas. I got the chocolate iPhone and the farting coloring book .

    • Jennifer (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      You’re welonlinee!

  19. Marcy

I love the hangry box! Maybe purchase it once and then regift the box next time around! 🤣

  20. *Angela-Miles*

I would like to get myself that wearable nail polish holder as I do my nails regularly… But in reality I know I’d rarely use it Lol 😉

  21. Cathy

Bought the coloring book for our White Elephant grab bag. Sure to get some laughs!

    • Jennifer (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      I love that idea!

  22. Maggie

St Nick just brought “Runny Babbit” for my 8 year old. She’s had her nose in it since, and has brought it to school every day as well! Shel Silverstein is an amazing author. I’d reonlinemend all of his books. My daughter already said she’s going to keep it, and read it to her daughter someday. Awwwww.

  23. Rikki

Thanks! Just bought 2 of those “farting animals” coloring books! Should be great for the classroom gift exchange! lol!

  24. hkaiDNP

My 8 year old granddaughter is into Schleich horses and Magic Tree House books this year. She probably has every Little Pet Shop animal and plays with them almost every day. Shopkins are so last year. LOL

The 17 year old granddaughter just wants gas cards. But then, she has almost everything else anyway. Spoiled girls!
