   I was hoping to get the coin gift card with this deal for my great-nephew as he is turning 8 this week but they were sold out long before the deal even started. Not a big deal as he won’t know that he missed out and will still be happy with the gingerbread train one and the Legos it will buy.

  At my target, when you ring up gift cards that are not target gift cards there register prompts a message that says “this item cannot be paid for with a Target gift card”

  I’m the help section of their app it says you can use target gift cards in store to buy ‘specialty Gift cards’ but not online.

   Thanks for posting this deal! I just was at Target and got $300 in gift cards, but most of them were picked over, so I didn’t get any scratch and sniff ones, but I’m so pleased with this deal. Almost done shopping now. Woot! Woot!

  Bonn, I’ve done it in the past and doing it this year. Have not had a problem, but I would think situational dependent as I didn’t have to sign for them or anything but the postman did scan them.

    Anyone else trying to order physical gift cards and having no luck? I need some gift cards mailed to give for gifts and it says “not available at this time” on every style of gift card. It’s too late to get to the store and electronic gift cards won’t work for me for the gifts I need.

  I don’t know what kind of gift that you’re trying to get, but you can always get the e-gift card and go to store to get the physical one. You can get some target gift cards with smaller balance. And to be safe you add a couple of things. At least, that’s what I did last year. I bought $100 e-gift card. I went to the store, get some $5 gift cards, milk and cereal. I didn’t get any problem at all checking out. HTH 🙂

    FYI….Was just at Target store and spoke to manager. They said that if you buy a Target gift card today; you would not able to buy any gift cards using Target gift card. I told manager that I was hearing that I would be able to use Target gift cards to buy other gift cards and she said you can’t.

  Never tried. When I click my e-gift card, it shows: For Target GiftCards purchased on December 3, balance will not be available until 10am Central on December 4.
  I am not sure if we can still use the egift card which were purchased today in store today.

    It looks like you should be able to purchase physical gift cards with an e-gift card. Check under “Are there any exceptions for purchasing gift cards”…

    I also ran into the same problem with no physical gift cards left to be mailed. I was upset and first and almost drove out to the store, but then I realized it didn’t really matter. I maxed out the discount of $300 in various increments. I saved the money now. I will spend the money one way or another. I don’t have to go to the store to try and buy a gift card with an email gift card. It won’t save me any additional money, and I know I’ll eventually use up my $300. I’ll just get more physical Target gift cards at another time.

    I was able to do this just now, bought a $200 target giftcard for a total of $180 using 2 target GC ($100 and $91.99) and my receipt shows that the new card will have $200 and my other card has a balance of $11.99. God bless. 🌺

    You can use egiftcards at the Target store. Just show the barcode on your phone to scan. They’re just not good for gift giving.
