Can you use rewards to pay for batteries and still get rewards from this purchase?

    • Angela Brown

Yes I have been rolling my rewards over for a few years doing just that. I almost always use my rewards to buy batteries and have virtually paid nothing for batteries for years.

    • Vanessa Sharma

If the batteries were for 1 cents, you could have rolled the rewards, but seeing that it is 100% back you will not be able to roll the rewards.

    • Lovin HIm

Elizabeth, I have found what Vanessa said to be true. If they are free, then you don’t get the rewards when you pay with rewards but if you pay any amount for the rewards items, you can use your rewards to pay and will get new rewards in your account for the items purchased

      • Elizabeth

So I could use my rewards for the paper and still get rewards since I will be paying .01

        • dhcoupons

I’m so confused! I have $20 in reward money. If I buy the 15.99 batteries with my reward monies and get item for free, I WILL NOT earn any rewards on that purchase. How would you ever be able to roll rewards? Please give me an example of how you would be able to roll my rewards in the battery 15.99 deal?

          • Lindsey

When a promotion says “Everyone pays ( )” and the end price is not onlinepletely free, this is when you can roll your rewards. When it is a 100% rebate, or a 50% rebate, your rewards will not roll. It has to say “Everyone pays…” I’ve been watching this based on other onlinementers over the last 5-6 weeks and it has worked well for me. I’ll skip out on the batteries this week, and wait until I can pay a penny again and roll rewards!

            • dhcoupons

Perfect. what a wonderful explanation! I really appreciate your time posting this!

      • JohnnyBoyJr

Thanks for the tip on this — I’m brand new to Office Depot Rewards since I just signed up on Black Friday, and I feel like I have been missing out on deals for years!
I have a bunch of very specific questions for somebody who has a very thorough knowledge of the program — would somebody be able to contact me at johnny (nineteenEightyFour) Yahoo please?

The 27 gallon storage containers are on sale for $7.00. Are there any coupon deals to add on for an even better deal?

    • Jennifer (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Great find! You can use promo code 81133280 to get 20% back In Rewards on that purchase.

      • Janice

        Cool thanks!!

Hi, what is the typical expiration period for the certificates – ie, how long do you have before it expires? thank!s

    • Cece

This is on their website. Hope it helps!
