Stores are already out of a lot of them!

  2. Missy

The store that I went to only carried Darden restaurants and they had already sold out. They don’t even supply any of the other cards 🙁

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Oh bummer! 🙁 Sorry to hear that Missy! Thanks for the feedback!

  3. Shelby

There is a limit to how many of each gift card the stores can sell on this promotion. I stopped in last evening in hopes of getting a Game Stop card and the manager said they had to pull them because they had sold their limit by 10 am.

    • hipsaver2

Wow. I didn’t know that. To me, that’s wrong.

      • Evan

I agree 110%. That’s also pretty deceiving to not include that info in the advertisement. I know all retailers do versions of this but wow!

  4. Panda

Do they carry any target gift cards??

    • Wendy

It sounds like it’s limited to the stores that they have listed.

  5. A

    Offer on the Darden website.
Bonus Offer: For every $100 you’ll receive a $20 Bonus eGift Card

    • Ns55g

Please be aware of this offer!! They did this a few years ago and we got the gift card and the bonus eGift card and it was basically like a coupon valid for certain dates only. In my experience it was like valid for the second 2 weeks only in January then it expired. We didn’t get a chance to go in that small window so it went tO waste. Not sure if it’s the same promotion but sure worth looking into before you purchase so you can check and make sure you can make it on the dates specified. HTH

  6. Nicole

Just went to pick some up and the associate told me they were instructed by corporate to end the promotion yesterday!

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

How odd, as it appears to be valid through Dec. 9th.

  7. MamaBear

Thanks H2S!! Just did this deal in northern VA. Just an fyi… The guy at the store said that all signs advertising for this gift card promotion had been pulled because they included game stop being listed and apparently they (game stop) are the ones who are not participating anymore because “they’ve sold way too many already!” But I was able to get the Darden ones without any issues!

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Thanks for sharing! You’re very welonlinee!

    • AOhio

      Thanks mamabear for the heads-up!

I bought 4 Darden gift cards $25 each and paid $80 when they opened on Sunday. No bonus egift card. It was a great deal!!

  9. Anna

Couldn’t score any! One of those lose some days. Totally out of the ones I needed. Thanks for sharing!

  10. Kristin

Sam’s Club added some new gift cards today! They have the Brinker and Darden gift cards $75 for $64.98 and Red Robin $50 gift card for $38.78 . Also, Olive Garden $75 cards with a free appetizer or dessert for $64.98.

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Sweet finds Kristin! Thanks for the heads up!

  11. Andrea

I scored the Dardeen card and Old Navy. My store had none of the others including the One with all the Gap stores but they honored the plain Old Navy one for the deal. However, it took 5 workers including manager to figure out the deal. Another customer was inquiring about as well. Manager told workers to take down advertisement promo.

  12. Belle

Woohoo! Just got some Michael’s gift cards! These will be perfect for scoring those seasonal $4 grab bags! 😀

I had a really smooth process– the $20 discount came off automatically at the register. My store had lots of cards still in stock.

    Thanks Amber & friends!

Wanted to share that I’m in So Calif and was able to score this deal. BUT, the Darden GCs were eliminated from the promo according to a sales associate. Corporate “pulled them” for unknown reasons. I bought a $50 “Brinker” card (good for Maggianos, Chilis, and others) $30 in Chilis and a $25 for Michaels. The $20 came off right automatically. Dbl check to make sure you find the BIG Gift card display. There was a tiny display at the front of the store. But an associate at Office Depot told me that they moved their primary display to the back of the store, per corporate, b/c they make no $ on GCs.

  14. SEC

Can I buy these with a Office Depot gift card?

  15. Astrid

I went this morning and they told me they got a memo from corporate offices to shred all the game stop cards because they were not suppose to be part of the promo. The cashier check for me the Michaels card though and that one work fine.

  16. Evey

I live in IL and tried it and it didn’t work either. Bummer!!

  17. stacy

Where was this advertised? I went in today and they didn’t know about the deal.

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Hi Stacy! It seems this sale can vary by store.

  18. hipsaver2

I tried it today in a Denver store and there were no ads, but I got the deal. I got a Michael’s, Old Navy and, Applebees. The manager put in the discount. I don’t know what’s going on with how they are doing this. Glad I got it though!
