    • K

That’s what I saw today🙂. Was pleasantly surprised.

I think this code has been redeemed by someone .

  4. Rachel A

Amazon has the 23 and me Ancestry and Health kit on sale for only $99.

  5. Elisha

I do not care to turn my DNA over to some for-profit onlinepany. Does any one else find it strange?

  6. Wendy

The kit being sold at Cvs requires a $69 lab fee to process the results. The information was on the back of the box and not listed in the ad. Very deceptive advertising.

  7. Jenzjemz

I agree on the deception!! I bought it under the impression that it was a one time fee like ancestry! I bought the AncestryDNA one a few months ago for 50$ and that was the total! I bought this one because it was supposed to be more in depth and boy was I shocked when I got home and read the additional fees. I was highly ticked. I really wish that your post would include that there is an additional fee so people like me, who just think it’s a great deal, do not get duped! I’m selling mine and just ordered the 99$ full service one that is regularly 169$! It includes the same kit I purchased but doesn’t have additional fees. Be warned!! If you are willing to pay a lot of additional money, it’s great! If you think this is the final price, definitely skip it!! Just wanted to give a heads up!! 🙂

    • Jamie

It’s not the sites job to list every detail of a product. This is a deal site. The rest is up to you

      • Jenzjemz

I bought the kit WITHOUT seeing the deal on here on Thanksgiving Jamie. I was simply stating that I wish that in THIS post, that hey would just include a little more fine print so people do not assume that it’s like ancestrydna.online where it’s just a one time total fee. For most people who didn’t see the 99$ deal yesterday, having to buy the 29.99 kit and THEN having to buy the additional lab fees, that amount racks up and we are all on here to SAVE money. I understand they don’t check every deal closely, I was just giving a friendly heads up to people who might not understand. I think the site is wonderful and they do a great job! Because they can’t check everything, it’s our job to pass on tips that we discover to other frugal friends! That’s why there is a onlinement section.

    • AP

They do sell the full kit too, where you don’t pay any additional fees. I got it on prime day for $50, so it is possible to get the full kit at a cheap price. I saw this one at CVS last week, and asked why it was so cheap. They explained it was the collection kit only.

  8. Ann

FYI even though 23andme deal might sound enticing, you just never know whether the result is true to your DNA. CBC Marketplace, a Canadian watchdog , did 3 experiments on DNA kits including 23andme and the results from all 3 kits were very different for a participant.
To Collins and team, i know you all are deligent posting deals but some of the items are not as good as they claim and I hope you do some research about pros and cons before you post anything. People follow you and it will not be wise for us, your followers, to buy things that are not going to live up to the claim products are made.

    • Lisa

I don’t remember hearing or reading anywhere that the deals posted were endorsed by Collin and her team. I can appreciate that these deals have all been found and posted here for me to use. However, we are the consumers and we are the ones that need to decide whether the deal is for us or not. Take the deal or leave it, that’s my opinion.

    • AP

Collin can’t be expected to vet every single item. It’s up to the consumer to do their own research and make their own decision. I bought this kit awhile ago for fun, and took the results with a grain of salt. Some people would appreciate a deal on this item.

  9. Amy

Thank you so much for the deal! And for adding the info about extra fees to the post! Y’all work so hard to keep us informed. What a great job the Hip2Save team is doing!!!!!!

Side note: I did DNA from Ancestry, 23andme and MyHeritage. All the were VERY similar. My grandmother did hers through Ancestry and her DNA matched very closely with mine. My brother is going to order his kit from 23andme from the site (it’s cheaper than cvs). From what I have been able to see from researching my family tree the DNA results were no surprise. Oh and my half Polish, half French Canadian husband did one…it turns out he’s Polish and French Canadian (he actually inherited more of the Polish from his dad’s side than the French). 🙂

People like Ann need to research things for themselves or find a new site to follow. It’s no one’s job other than your own to look into a product further. SMH… #UNGRATEFUL Collin and her team of hard working angels are amazing and we should all be thanking them for the countless hours that they put into this for all of us!!! Especially on holidays when they are working!!!

Wowza. I should read onlinements prior to acting. I ordered four kits online for $49 with the ancestry lab fees only included. The regular price for this is $99. When I read the post, I did a little freaky and tried to figure out if I could cancel my order and buy it at Target lol! I agree they shouldn’t sell it this way. I do think this is a good product, though. I did Ancestry DNA and found it to be accurate and informative. It had to be accurate because it linked me with previously-known relatives based on DNA alone before I entered any family tree info. Anyhoo… if you are going to buy this, it would be MORE expensive this way than to buy it online for $69 (no longer $49 today). If you buy to give as a gift, as I am, you would be sticking the recipient with the lab fee. I say the best place to order is on their website and watch for a sale.

    • AP

Through 23andme, I was linked to a second cousin who I’ve never heard of, but this guy had the same last name as my grandmother’s maiden name!

I do not agree Sincerely, Tamiko

  13. Leanie

I went to my local CVS, yesterday 6/8/18
The sign read 29.99 with a 10.00 EB, why is it not able to give me the 20.00 EB as states.
No one in my local store knows anything about this even when I show them this add.
    Am I missing something?
Thanks for the input in advance

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Hi there! SO sorry for any confusion. It seems this is an old deal that has now expired.
