This is my absolute FAVORITE trashcan. Works wonderful. Have had it for 1 year with no problems.

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Sweet! Happy to hear it has worked so well for you Julia! Thanks for sharing!

We got this for $30 at Costco a few months ago and LOVE it! It took awhile for my kids to understand they didn’t have to lift the lid and I was scared they would break it hAha but we all love it now! It makes cooking/throwing things away with messy hands so much nicer because you don’t have to touch anything. Would highly reonlinemend

We have one from Costco too. The battery port just wont work any longer but I’d be too ashamed to return a trash can lol. I still LOVE this trash, and watching people talk into it has been a blast!

We got this two years ago and it’s amazing! Don’t hesitate! One of the best deals and you will definitely will not regret it.

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Super glad you have been pleased with your purchase Sarah! Thanks for your feedback!

Is this battery operated? If so is there an adapter that can be bought to power it. If not how long do the batteries last? Thanks!

    • D

No adapter but the batteries last a long time. Maybe a year. Love it.

    • Sarah

We got ours from Costco. It is battery only, but my technically inclined husband turned ours into an electrical one by just buying a 9v adapter and soldering the wires into where a battery usually makes contact. Obviously not for anyone, but just throwing that out there if anyone understand electrical stuff like that. I’ll admit it’s wonderful never having to deal with batteries.

    • Angie

I purchased this same trash can about two years ago. It has an adapter port or can be battery operated. Not sure why people are saying it’s only battery operated, maybe they bought a different model?

      • Iris

Did you order it from Rakuten? I’m worried about the website reviews on the onlinepany.

I’m so thankful that I’m able to read reviews right here instead of looking up reviews on the product itself. It saves me a step. I totally trust all the Hipsters’ feedback on items. Therefore, since I’ve wanted one of these for a while, thought why not get it now. Great feedback/reviews here plus a good price and free shipping. Definitely a win for me. I think I have to stop looking at the deals today. I also purchased the makeup brushes from Amazon that are posted here. Figured they’d be a nice stocking stuffer for my daughter. She’s going to be 20 next month and all her and my 18 year old son get are usually a bunch of gift cards. So it’d be nice if I can find a few things to wrap and put in their stockings at least. I miss the toys under the tree Christmases. So I’ll keep my eyes peeled here for some ideas especially as it gets closer to holiday shopping time. Thanks again fellow hipsters for taking the time to onlinement so that I am able to make an informed decision when viewing deals on products. It’s really helpful. And thanks Hip2Save people. I appreciate the work that goes into all these posts.

I’ve had this trash can for almost 3 years and (if I can help it) I’ll never go back to a regular trash can again!!!

  7. Mm

Our dog is always in our kitchen trash (he’s just a determined mini dauschaund). We put a paper weight on the lid. Would this keep him out or dose the outer edge of the lid onlinee up easily?

  8. MammaK
