not a fan of applebees…but I needed a drink, so I took the kids there for dinner. I had 2 of them and they were delicious.

Watch the salad bar. I found green palmetto bugs mix in with the lettuce. Unfortunately I almost ate one. That’s enough to ruin your appetite

I think it’s ridiculous the people onlineplaining about the amount of alcohol. Like did you really expect them to just give away more than a dollars worth of booze! Pay for a better drink then. When I was a server if you onlineplained about the amount of alcohol then you could pay for an extra shot. Also they have to have a drink limit due to legal reasons. Too many people driving drunk.

Also what happens at one restaurant is not all of them. I hate when people have a bad experience at one location and spread the same gossip all over the onlinepany. All applebee’s are owned by different people.

Someone did an analysis on this and found that a keystone light had more alcohol in it than an applebees margarita.

Just another reason to stay away from applebees.

Applebees gives away a free 3 course meal for ur birthday when u first sign up to the birthday club …so that’s another reason to love applebees 🙂 and I must say that ever since I first tried there wonton tacos which was 2 years ago, I have been and I am in love with that appetizer, it was and is delicious and are great for the value for the buck, I get it every time I end up passing an Applebee’s

Please remember to tip your bartenders and servers off of service and not just a $1 margarita! They work for a living, and it’s terrible enough that their onlinepany does promotions like this where people take advantage and don’t give more credit to their employees. For example – a .15 to .20 tip per margarita is nothing, sadly.

I wouldn’t expect quality. They lure people in with this and the customers end up ordering other drinks when they’re disappointed with this plus food. Even the picture looks like way too much ice! You would probably need five to catch a buzz because I’m sure they don’t add nearly the liquor this drink normally would have. Applebee’s does sing happy birthday to my kids though…

You get what you pay for. I hate Applebee’s margaritas, they are terrible in my book. There was a video posted on Facebook by an Applebee’s employee showing the public how they make these “dollaritas”. They only dump 1 part (cheap) tequila to the 1 part margarita concentrate and like 3 parts tap water — all pre-mixed in a giant bucket. My husband also happens to work at Applebee’s and confirmed that is how it is made. Unfortunately these type of corporate promotions are incredibly hard on the employees as they end up with an influx of tables that don’t tip. I always feel bad for employees of big corporate chain onlinepanies who are just trying to survive while their employers treat them horribly and pay them nothing.
