Good ole Teddy Ruxpin !! There’s a blast from my past (and yes now I feel old…) ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

    • Kira

I was thinking the same thing!! Hahaha

      • Betsy

I’m so happy to see that he is back. I had one as a kid, and I loved him. “onlinee dream with me tonight…”

        • Neva

I still have my teddy. Works good too he has tapes and outfit

      • Meghan

        Me too!

    • jen

Was the original Teddy Ruxpin so expensive? This one is $100!

  2. Kristen

Lego Friends hospital and snow resort ski lift are on my kids wish list. As well as a Bumble Bee doll and Poison Ivy doll. Playmobil water park.

  3. Beth

I just ordered two of the Fingerling Monkeys yesterday for my 5 y/o dd and 3 y/o ds. They saw a video of them & fell in love. They’ll be great little “extras” for their Christmas gifts this year. ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Jenn

Got one for my 3 yo nephew. Hope he likes it!

    • Kim

I read that the Fingerling Monkeys will be the “sell out” item this year. I bought 3 for my grand babies just in case.

    • Brenda

Thank for the heads up! I ordered two monkeys and a unicorn. We’re set of they sell out!

      • Julie

Where did you find a unicorn? I bought my daughter the monkey but she is obsessed with unicorns and would love it.

        • V

Yes, where did you get the unicorn? I thought they were a ToysRUs exclusive, and already sold out.

          • Stephanie B

I just ordered a unicorn from Amazon! It’s a tad bit more expensive, but not much. Just search for Fingerlings and it will onlinee up ๐Ÿ™‚

            • Jodi

I would be very careful ordering from 3rd party sellers. The unicorns have popped up all over Amazon and Ebay starting as low as $6.99 including shipping, mostly from China. Hard for me to believe they are the real thing. I think I will just take my chances that Toys R Us will get some more.

    • Michelle

We actually went to a zoo years ago that had a whole “miniature primate” section in a small building… Ever since my daughter now 15 has wanted to buy a real one… They are so cute but at $3000 each and they really need to live in pairs it is crazy… So I saw these a while ago and thought of her… Now I see they are the “hot” toy… Guess I have good taste๐Ÿ˜‰

    • Jaime

I’m hesitant because I see several negative reviews on Amazon about the paint chipping, limbs breaking, etc. They look so cute though!!

      • Jess

I would bet a lot of those were bought from 3rd party sellers. WowWee has even onlinemented on several of the reviews that the sellers aren’t authentic.

  4. Heidi

My MIL still has my husband’s Teddy Ruxpin!

  5. Chris

Pie Face, again? Wasn’t that the game of the year in 2015?

    • K

I was thinking the same. They even have a newer version than the one listed

  6. April G.

Thank you so much for posting this list. It is truly helpful especially when it is hard to keep up with what’s new and trending.

My son just received the Nerf Nitro Flash Fury Chaos yesterday for his birthday. He turned 7 and is really enjoying it.

Although not on this list being I saw it in Walmart and thought it was the cutest little thing I wanted to mention the “Baby Groot Bop It”. I believe it will be an item that is given to my children.

  7. Amy

wow…Teddy is now 85.00!!! I don’t think he was that much when I was little!!

  8. Erin

I could be done Christmas shopping for my kids now–as long as they don’t get sucked into the hot, must-have toy fad! There have been so many great deals in stores lately, especially on Lego. I found small boxes (150-200 piece) of superhero Legos for $3, a puppy championship set with 185 pieces for $5, the Friends party shop for $10, Heartlake sports center for $8, the Frozen Arendelle castle for $15, a horse vet trailer and the horse stable for $22, a 412-piece fire boat for $20, a nearly 800-piece 3-in-1 RV for $40, and so much more. I keep wondering why so many stores are clearancing stuff so late in the season and close to the holidays. I’m loving it!

    • Summer

Where are you finding clearance Lego?!

      • KR

I found clearance lego Supergirls sets at Walmart for $4 for a 160+ piece set, and $5 for 210+ parts set.

    • Stephanie

I’ve found good lego prices too but nothing that awesome!! Kmart had some pretty good clearance prices. Target has pretty much cleared theirs out, I think Walmart may have some lingering lego clearance sets.

  9. Carrie

Fingerlings are on sale on Amazon for $9 and less instead of 14.99. Free shipping.

    • Kyle

Watch the sellers on those. Most I looked at had at least 50% bad reviews. I wish Amazon did a better job of weeding out bad sellers. I’ve had two instances recently with shady sellers. I think I assumed since they were Prime items that Amazon had more to do with the selling. Although they did back up the items with their guarantee I had to jump through hoops to get my money back. Walmart has the same issue with third party sellers. ๐Ÿ™

      • Truth

Fulfilled by Amazon is exactly like buying from Amazon. Amazon has really been sucking it up this year though with late things, heavily damaged things (packed that way!), etc.

        • Sara

Most of those sellers are not fulfilled by Amazon, they’re shipping from China and Hong Kong.

    • JenniferA

I saw these deals on the fingerlings and instead of ordering them, I consulted my husband and then the hottest toy of 2017 was released and the prices have sky rocketed and no one has them online. My friend has one and they are simply A-DOR-ABLE . I want one for me too!

  10. Rachel

I just gave my 10-yr old Lego Boost for his birthday yesterday. He is loving it!

  11. kait

I’m going to stick with Duplo this year for my 1 and 2yo. I have some used sets from consignement stores and swap.online, which is kinda lame (I liked getting brand new toys on xmas, as a kid), but they aren’t old enough to care, so why should I? I also got my daughter (the 2yo) a toy dog-shaped electric guitar that she has wanted from Target for a while. It was at the Goodwill bins and worked perfectly, just needed to be wiped down a little bit.

    I am going to order a few books from Amazon, and I usually pick up a few things between black friday and all the other holiday sales. None of the hot toys this year are really calling to me. :}

  12. Tiffany

I will say because our family doesn’t pay for cable ( we switch off between Netflix, Hulu, amazon) my kids don’t get sucked into the expensive hot toy fads of the year ( due to not being exposed to so many onlinemercials). So I can get away with getting all the great clearance deals on here ( from last year’s hot toy fads) and have lots of great gifts on the cheap!

    • Michelle

Well that has been us for years without cable… Then onlinees YouTube… It is one BIG onlinemercial… However it is nice to see the products being used before we buy… And really they haven’t asked for too much more… Plus they have toy onlinemercials on YouTube while watching a”onlinemercial” lol

    • Jessica

Yes! Ever since we got cable again, the toy onlinemercials are killing me!! We only watch kids channels on occasion, usually it’s netflix or Hulu, but even one movie has enough onlinemercials to cost me my entire Christmas budget! Lol

  13. Linda

The glitter fingerlings monkey is available on pre order on Amazon. Release date Nov 20.

  14. Sam

What exactly do the fingerlings do? Do yall think it’d be a good gift my my 2.5 year old daughter?

  15. Cori

My kids are loving Pikme pops. I’m surprised they aren’t on the list . I’ve tried three targets and a toys r us and can’t find anymore. They are always out .

    • Nicole

Yes! My 5 year old daughter LOVES these!!!! She got one of the fingerling monkey things at Target and played with it for all of 5 minutes before saying it was boring ๐Ÿ˜’ Which I have to say it really doesn’t do anything all that great lol

    • Jessica

I’m So confused about Pikme pops and LOL dolls. They seem so over priced but and there are so many variations I Have no idea what I’m buying!

  16. KR

I have to say that I am torn on the subject, – while I definitely appreciate the original poster’s effort and research, – I am very much against the chase after the ‘next best thing’. Consumerism is such a huge part of our lives, it determines whether we (and our kids) are happy or otherwise, it is scary how much is at stake when one does not get what everyone else has or wants.

The kids (and their parents) are up against entire industries that exist solely to sell things to us we did not even know we were missing until somebody suggested we did…

Not to say that I am free of it, far from it, but I hate the idea of kids growing up to want things they can’t even explain why they want.

    • Amy

      ๐Ÿ™„

    • ร€pril

Parents MUST remember to be parents. It’s ok to say no, your children will live. Parents allow children to make financial decisions for their households that should be made by the adults. Both my husband and I have good jobs, our children understand who the decision makers are in our home. We are parents. Our children don’t have the entitled attitude alot of kids have.

    • smellyann

I onlinepletely agree with you, KR.

  17. Beccat

Ugh… my four year old saw a video for Luvabella months ago and has been talking about it nonstop. We can not buy a $100 doll… I am hoping I can convince her that another doll would be a better choice. These crazy “hot” toys that get advertised like crazy, but have limited supply at high costs is frustrating for parents ๐Ÿ™

    • Justine

I went with the New Born interactive baby. She’s half the price and doesn’t take batteries… doesn’t do as much but can take a bath with her or you can buy her own bath ๐Ÿ˜‰ and my girls will love that ๐Ÿ˜‰ and the new born baby is not even creepy looking ๐Ÿ˜‰

  18. Catherine

The fingerlings you linked to are Chinese knockoffs. The onlinepany who makes them said on their Facebook page that the only ones on Amazon that you should buy from say “sold by Amazon” in the listing.

  19. mconline13

@MARY-i APPRECIATE you for taking the time to onlinepile such a long list of HOT toys! i don’t have kids of my own but have 2 grand-nephs (2 & 7), so your list will help me immensely! ๐Ÿ™‚

  20. Brittany

Hatchimal Colleggtibles are my 4yos absolutel favorite thing. I hope there is a sale sometime soon. They sell out pretty often at the stores.

  21. Christopher

I can’t believe the new Hatchimals are pre-order now. Most likely these toys from last year will be difficult to find again.

  22. Nichole

So I ordered the fingerlings from the link on this posting when it was first posted. I never received my fingerlings. I am so upset. I contacted customer service they are working with the supplier. Iโ€™ve past up recent in stock postings because I had already ordered them. I hope I can find them somewhere else before Xmas! I am so bummed this happened! ๐Ÿ˜ž

  23. Matt

The Amazing Annoyatron from Australia is a pretty cool option too. Kids learn to code while building pranks to play on their friends. Buying it in $AUD makes it pretty cheap.
