Karate Kid is a classic! Actually some of the most successful franchises of the 80’s “Rocky and Karate Kid” were developed by the same director John Avildsen. Ironically, for both movies, he had a small budgets and unknown actors, yet both were an international success. John received $8M to make K Kid and in USA alone the movie made $90M 🙂
