Because I got oddly curious, I checked with Target’s chat as well. Target isn’t allowed to not accept coupons, unless they don’t scan, or if they feel a customer is abusing the amount of coupons being used (extreme couponing), in which case they do not need to accept coupons or can limit the amount used.
The rep I spoke to said “At this point, I can only file a onlineplaint. I can only suggest calling us from the store when it is happening and we can then partner with store and see what they are doing and what is going on. We can be reached at 1-800-440-0680.”
Give it a try! I love shopping at Target and frequently use coupons at my local store, so I wouldn’t want you to miss out on opportunities because of a wayward manager!
