Attention Target Shoppers!

Are you aware that Target is now offering a Cartwheel Perks Rewards Program in select locations? If you are one of the lucky customers with Cartwheel Perks available, you should see the Perks page in your Cartwheel App.

Customers that have Cartwheel Perks will earn 10 points for every dollar spent on all purchases made in-store (with the exception of CVS pharmacy purchases made inside Target). These points can eventually be redeemed for rewards valued between $10 and $20.

Check out this email I received from Hip2Save reader, Rose…

Hi Collin and Hip2Save staff!

I am very excited to tell you about my great deal… I received two FREE DVDs from Target just from simply shopping there and scanning their Cartwheel App every time I made a purchase. I think it took me almost a year to collect over 10,000 points (at 10 points per $1) with school shopping, Christmas shopping, various basic essentials and of course, great deals posted on Hip2Save.

I recently decided to cash out two rewards – new release DVDs with a maximum value of $20. I purchased “Finding Dory” and “Moana” at $24.99, expecting to pay $5 each for them. To my surprise, the entire amount of $24.99 was taken off at the register. I scored two totally FREE high dollar Blu-rays (a $50 value) just for shopping! I can’t wait to put them in my kids’ Easter baskets soon to enjoy them for many family movie nights to onlinee!

Do you have these Rewards in your area?

(Thanks, Rose!)

They did change the perks but there is still a few high value ones like coffee for up to $24.99 or laundry soap for up to $15.
It was nicer when there was free jeans or movies but free is free I guess.
I’ve accumulated 90,000 points since it’s started and have gotten things like Jeans, movies, phone case, $10 free groceries and much more!!
Plus don’t forget to onlinebine the cartwheel with coupons for even more savings.

Do you know if there is a perks Customer service or something? I had 10,500 points and just redeemed 1 perk and it took me down to 3500! I thought They were 5000 points a perk? And I can’t find a history anywhere of my points 🙁

Do you still show the laundry detergent perk for up to $15? Because here in Houston, TX, I no longer show it. It was my favorite, and I’m bummed that they’ve redesigned the perks to reflect $10 off other department items. The savings is not as good overall, but it appears they’ve attempted to streamline the savings to reflect more departments. I’m holding out for a detergent deal. That was the best value for me given points I earned from spending so much money.

    Bring perks to Chicago!!!

  3. Kelly Moore

My sister in law recently moved from Georgia to here in Houston and she hasn’t been able to get the perks to show up on her cartwheel app. Anyone maybe know what she should do?

    • Janna

Probably because it is NOT AVAILABLE in Houston

      • Kelly Moore

        It IS available in Houston

My perks (in Houston) have disappeared from my Cartwheel app. One of the store managers told me that the program is being discontinued. Can anyone else still see their points?

    • Kelly Moore

I got an email today that says their perks program will be ending on August 27th. I just checked in my app and I can still see my points.

    • Renee

I see my points but today I was notified via app that August 27th will be the last day to collect points towards perks.

      • Quasar

Yes. I’m in Houston as well. I can still see my points and see that Aug 27th is last day to earn points. A manager told me yesterday to expect an email talking about the end of this particular program. (I haven’t received one as of yet). That manager also mentioned that we would have until around October to use up the points. She didn’t seem exactly sure of the date, but I was under the impression we would have a few weeks to use up the points.

    • Nancy

I am also in Houston, heights area. still have my points

  5. Mary risch

How do you redeem your points? How many points do you have to have. I gave 15000 points and the only perks I show are the ones offered when you join the program. Time is running out

    • Eric Hrabak

Mary, when you open your app, your perks points should appear. If they do not, the perks button is on the left hand side at the bottom of the screen. You should be able to select from Perks from there. Happy shopping!
