   I have alot of these. When I use some of them the cashier looks at me and says​, I can’t use these I can’t scan them. I laugh and say they are oldies but goodies but they are good.

  Jjae, as an old time couponer, these are not unfamiliar to me. I still have some from over 30 years ago. However, the cashier is most likely correct not to take them. If there is no barcode, the coupon does not scan. Perhaps because they do not have a barcode they may be ineligible for reimbursement from the coupon processing center.

  Many stores’ coupon policies say that a coupon has to have an expiration date to be accepted

   I’m vintage (old) enough to to have some of these myself. If you try to use them, it depends on the store. Some won’t take them because they say THEY can’t redeem them with the manufacturer without a bar code. Many of the items, particularly cereals, no longer exist. That hasn’t prevented me from keeping them in my coupon box!☺

    I cashiered for 8 yrs at Walmart. Technology has improved vastly since these were produced. Gone are the days of hand keying, now each one has scannable barcodes. Stores policy was not to take them w/o an expiration date.

    I know that Walmart won’t take them, the only place I’ve been able to use the old ones is Fareway.
