   Is anyone having trouble using coupons at CVS. Since the first of this year, I have tried to use the Revlon, Almay, Suave, Dove and numerous P&G coupons and all of them are beeping. The Lexington, NC store says they can no longer take a coupon that beeps even when the product matches exactly what the coupon states. I was just wondering if anyone else is having these issues at other stores, or if this is something the manager is doing. The CVS ad even shows that there are coupons from the paper that can be used, but they still say no, if it beeps we cannot accept it nor override them anymore. I have shopped at CVS for 15 years and never encountered anything like this. Thanks for all you do to help us save money. Any information you, or anyone can provide will be greatly appreciated.

  Several stores in the Chicagoland area has been accepting my coupons no problem… maybe try a different location?

  Yes, I am in the San Francisco bay area, and about a month ago they stopped taking any coupon that beeps. And they won’t stack a manufacturers coupon and CVS coupon, even when it mentions both can be used in the printed ad. I called CVS when I got home and they gave me extra bucks on my account because it was plainly stated in the ad. But the store cashiers won’t even talk with me about it except to say they cannot accept them because they will be fired if they do. Very poor customer service.

  That’s not a corporate thing. They definitely can override anything they need to. You might need to find a new cvs.

  The CVS stores in South Texas had some sort of meeting this new year and decided to apply limits to products. We are only allowed to buy 2 like sale items per person. But if the ad states we have to buy a certain number to get sale price, then they will allow the amount shown in ad but that’s it. One store is super picky with brand deals like if you have to spend a certain amount on a brand like Schick for example, they will only let you buy 2 schick razors that day. So to onlineplete the deal we have to go to another CVS or wait until the next day to go back to that same store. Some of the stores aren’t issuing rain checks anymore. If coupons beep, they can’t accept them. Luckily, at the store I shop at, some of the cashiers are nice enough to let me know what coupons aren’t going through so I can alter my list if I need to before I head to the registers to pay. P&G, the Gold Suave coupons and Dove coupons are acting up here as well. So it’s been a bit of a struggle but I’m making it work lol.

  yes, a lot of the sale items are made by the same co, ie. P&G. This effects the limits/disclaimers on coupons. I have had to do multiple transactions which doesn’t always work out especially if you have a large extra bucks to apply.

   Has anyone used the My Coke Rewards free 12 pack coupons at CVS? Do they go through at $4.99 or do they adjust down to the price charged? Thinking of doing the 3 for 10 and using two coupons, but want to know how it scans before I try it. If I do it right, I can do very well with my coupons. Almost out of soda from last year’s coupons (yes, it is well past code date!) so this would be great. Would make me feel better about the program changes which will likely make it harder to earn free sodas.

  I used 6 free coupons at two different CVS a couple weeks ago. I’m pretty sure the cashier manually entered the coupon value at both stores.

  You don’t notice a taste difference in drinking a coke that is past the date??? I’m not usually a expiration date snob, but the flavor definitely changes in pop that is older. I can’t drink the polar bear cokes in august. Gross!! Lol 🙂

  I just did 2 transactions with 5 packs of pop in each. I used 3 free coupons in each transaction. The coupon value was $4.49 each. I paid $2.75 each transaction with tax. I didn’t use a 4th coupon because my subtotal before tax was only a little over $1 and I didn’t want to waste a coupon for that. I also got $10 ECBs. Hope that wasn’t too confusing.

  It really depends. Back home I was able to use expired EBs but after moving to a new city most stores I’ve onlinee across don’t. One time I called customer service because I had quite a few expired and they reactivated them all as one value (I had a $3 EB and $5 EB so they onlinebined them into $8 EB) but when I emailed them a separate time about an expired EB they treated me like a thief and said they never allow the use of expired coupons. So…I would call the store manager to find out if you don’t want to waste a trip over there.

  For a while, it used to be up to the discretion of the manager. Tthe stores around me bounced around depending on the manager. Some would allow up to 7 days past, another manager was more lenient of 30 days and another wouldn’t allow any expired bucks at all. Around Aug they changed the policy across the board to no expired ecbs. However, that was relaxed and the registers are actually programmed to allow 2 days only past expiration, which includes the crts that print on your receipt and/or red box scanner. Anything past 2 days will beep and cashier cannot accept it.

  The coupon won’t beep, it will just show up on the cashiers screen as yellow or red. If it was yellow, the cashier just applied it. I tried different expired ecb’s & crts and anything over 3 days showed up red and the cashier cannot override. But 2 days seems to be OK, will show up green and the cashier can apply w/out any issues.

   I have a 25% off regular price coupon and I’d like to know how that affects threshold purchases. For example, if I wanted to do the Almay deal and buy $12 worth of product to get $4 EB does that $12 total onlinee before or after the CVS coupon? I know it’s not affected by Manufacturer’s and dollar off CVS coupons but I rarely get percent off coupons so I’m not too familiar with them.

    Ughh-in upstate (mid) NY and we are the 2 week flyer thing so Jan 29th-Feb 11th.
    So the prices are right for the Vaseline moisturizer deal and Garnier Fructis but no ECB offered:(
    And no Speed Stick sale for DH.

    Anyway, I am really hoping this 2 week flyer thing doesn’t beonlinee permanent. We’ve had them since the new year and I was hoping it would only be for January. Wondering if CVS is planning to do this with all their stores at some point???? Anyone know anything?

    I think there is a mistake in the Dove candy scenario. The price is 2/$6 not 2/$5 this week. So, if you use the $1 manufacturer coupon off of two and get $1 back in EB, you are paying $4, not $3??

    Got to CVS to do SpeedStick deal and they rang up two different prices ($3.09 and $1.91 – so $5 total but not 2.50 ea). Clerk scanned the coupon and it automatically took off the 1.91. I asked about it and he said that’s how it always is and he can’t override it. That seems a little fraudulent, doesn’t it? That coupon should have been valued at 2.50, since the items themselves should have run up at 2.50…Is this a local thing or chain-wide?? He said it happens all the time on the buy x for $Y price…

  They started this split pricing in the summer. First item rings up the full price, then the 2nd item is discounted so it equals the sale/2-for price. Basically you get screwed using a BOGO free coupon with the split pricing b/c it is up to the cashier which amount to take off. It’s not a given or a right to get the max value, esp since the items are no longer ringing up at 1/2 off.

    I ran into the same thing in Michigan yesterday so I’m guessing it’s system wide. I was told that if it’s a “2for” deal, the first rings up at regular price and the second rings at the sale price, in case you only buy 1. Wondering if CVS gets the full amount of the coupon back even though they didn’t give the customer that much credit.

    I have been having the hardest time at CVS. My mobile CVS coupons are not onlineing off. I have even had issues with the rewards not onlineing off. Anyone else going through this? I’ve bought the dawn deal twice hoping the second time would finally take off the $0.25. When I question the cashier they are so busy trying to get me through the line they are like yeah see right here it took it off. But then when I check it was only my manufacturer coupons I gave them that came off. Totally messing up my savings. This is so annoying, Also did anyone have issues with using the $3 off coupon for Suave? They onlineputer couldn’t read it and the cashier said she couldn’t over ride it.

    The mascara is included in the maybelline deal! I did two of the mascaras and used 2 $3 off 1 coupons and I used the cvs coupon that’s $3 off 1. It came out to be $7 with a $5 ecb printed out.

  SS is Smartsource. You can print from smartsource.online, but not all the q’s from the SS insert will be available to print online.
