HUGE Cuisinart Food Processor Recall – Over 8 Million Units Recalled Due to Laceration Hazard
Calling all Cuisinart Food Processor owners!
If you purchased a Cuisinart food processor from July 1996 through December 2015 for between $100-$350, take note of this recall! Cuisinart is recalling about 8 million units sold in the United States due to a possible laceration hazard. There have been 69 reports of consumers finding broken pieces of the blade in processed food including 30 reports of mouth lacerations or tooth injuries.
If you own one of these processors, you should immediately stop using the food processor’s riveted blade and contact Cuisinart for a free replacement blade – only food processors with four rivets in the blades are included in this recall.
If you have questions, call Cuisinart toll-free at 877-339-2534 from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. ET Monday through Friday and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET Saturday and Sunday or click here and click on Product Recalls at the bottom of the page for more information. Note that the Cuisinart site is moving very slowly!
