Was just talking with a friend about a woman she met while she and her family were camping at Yellowstone. The woman had quilt on which she stitched all her family’s travels. We thought that seemed like a wonderful keepsake, but were overwhelmed by creating a quilt. Then I thought one could just do a blanket like that offered in this post, but instead of a photo, use a map. From there, you can stitch in your family’s details. I’m contemplating doing one for each of my boys…just not much of a seamtress and not sure which fabric would be best.
