I’ve followed Hip2Save for almost 5 years. Recently I moved to Korea and figured most of my couponing was over :(. One day, I went to one of the larger markets and was excited to find coupons! I didn’t know they did coupons here! Of course I had to use one! I can’t read the coupon but I got the exact item pictured. And no problems at checkout! I saved $.04! No that was not a typo – $.04.

This wasn’t the actual coupon I used, I didn’t take a picture of that one. This coupon would be less than $.30.

I never managed to find coupons in Korea, but they did have lots of free samples at the supermarkets.

I lived in the middle east in Jordan for a bit and was ecstatic when I found out a lot of the grocery stores have coupons. Most of them are like spend $30 and get a free vegetable oil. Woo!! Was so excited when I found it. lol

Lol. I love Korean dramas! I watch a lot of anime and some how I ended up watching a drama. It all started with Lie to Me. I watch dramas through hulu and netflix. Dramafever seems to sub everything.

You have to think the exchange rate is huge in Korea.. So 4 cents USD is a lot more.

South Korean disposable inonlinee PPP was ranked 11th in the world in 2012, right on par with the UK and ahead of the likes of Germany, France, Italy, etc. Four cents in South Korea buys about 6 cents worth in the US.

I second David’s remark. I have found that the cost of living in Seoul mirrors what I pay outside of DC (where the cost of living is higher than much of the US). Awesome to see Korean couponers! 😀

My daughter and I love watch korean dramas! Dramafever on iPad
I am glad they have CC because I am deaf I can read!But my daughter is hearing she fell in love korean dramas and kpop music she can read CC too. We want visit South Korean! Wow I did not know they have korean coupon!

I did a groupon in Korea for a perm when I lived there. While my korean was good enough to figure out the website, I did run a bit of a language barrier at the salon. When I first got there an employee tried speaking to me in Korean. When I didn’t understand, she took me into the office and looked all serious which made me worried that I had misunderstood the deal. Turns out she just wanted to make sure I realized that the groupon didn’t include tax but was unsure of her English skills so she wanted to tell me in private so others couldn’t overhear her. LOL! Afterwards though I was super proud of myself for managing to snag the awesome deal!
