Might want to check ratings on amazon or eBags for this brand before purchasing. I’m pretty sure we bought a set from American Tourister for a college family member, and the large suitcase lost its wheels on the first or second use. She had to carry her heaviest bag around the airport for most of the trip, and I remember it being a very stressful experience for her.
If anyone is in need of luggage, there are some really good deals on higher quality luggage via eBags right now. I’ve ordered from them a few times now and have had very good experiences with them. They have free 2-day shipping and returns via ShopRunner (AmEx offers free memberships w/ ShopRunner, so if you have an AmEx be sure to sign up for this benefit), and the cashback sites usually offer pretty good rates (Chase Ultimate Rewards has been paying 15x for eBags recently). Also, there are often savings codes. I don’t think you can onlinebine cashback and a savings code, but you can always try and just choose the best deal for you if it doesn’t work,
As an example, I spotted several highly rated pieces from High Sierra that are marked down dramatically here: https://www.ebags.online/category/luggage/dept/luggage/b/high-sierra/h/sale?origin=left_nav We have some High Sierra pieces and are pleased with their quality and durability. Reviews indicate similar experiences by other users. I’ve seen some codes for various $ or % off online, so that could bring the prices down a little more. Our family member travels frequently and has found that having one good quality piece serves her much better than having a whole set of junk, so if you’re traveling very far or very often, that might be a helpful thing to remember.
BTW, I don’t work for High Sierra or eBags–I’ve just had really positive experiences with them and have learned my lesson about cheap luggage the hard way!
