          only the giftcard can be used to purchase amazon giftcard, the holiday money can not be used on giftcard purchases.
          The sales clerks in my nearest Radio Shack are not very nice, can someone post if the deal worked for them. Thanx

            There are many reports on other boards of it working without a problem. A few have also gotten them to price match Toys R Us (they’re $259 there) but most won’t.

              I am in NJ, I clicked on the link on the post put in my zip code and the stores that have it in stock popped up. I had to go on my onlineputer because the link did not work on my mobile phone. hth

            I just got one at my store in San Diego! They don’t activate the $100 gift card until the next day. My store only had gift cards for amazon kindle. Do you know if you can use them on any amazon purchase?

            They also had b&n nook, Sirius, and apple App Store gift cards. It seemed like the gift cards were all related to the devices they sell.

            I also think you need to make one more purchase to get the $60 in holiday cash. I only got $50.

          I think what she is stating is that you can take the $100 Radio Shack gift card you received and use it to purchase a $100 Amazon gift card (well, assuming your local Radio Shack sells gift cards?).

      You can keep calling your radio shack and they will order it from the warehouse for you! You just have to go into the store and order it and pay for it there! I did it tonight! They said they were all out this morning and they took my name and number in case more came in and they called and said onlinee right in if you want one, there was 400 added for all 5000 stores…I reserved it and its being shipped right to my home! Good until December 24th!

      this is an older generation ipad mini.. in my opinion it is 2 generations old since the configuration is more like the ipad 2.

      Toys R Us has the first generation mini for $259. If you have a Safeway affiliated store near you, there’s a Coinstar deal going on where you pour in $40 in change and you get a $50 gift card ($40 from your money and an extra $10). You can check cointstar.online for a list of stores. You would need $200 in change, though.

      $40 get an extra $10 done 5 times = $200 paid for $250 in Toys R Us gift cards. So $209 plus tax for an iPad mini. Make sure a Toys R Us near you actually has them in stock before you do any of that!!

    I just bought one. The manger would not price match “this time of year”. I also didn’t add to my purchase bc I didn’t think I would use that many separate transaction ten dollar purchases in addition to the gift card. Now I know you can buy an Amazon gift card with the Radio Shack gift card so I kind of wished I would have. The salesperson wasn’t so helpful:(.

    The holiday cash prints in “coupons” of $10.00 each and cannot be onlinebined on one item. In other words you must use them on 4 different items/transactions. They are valid 12/17-12/31/2013. The gift card can be used right away.

    What are the requirements of the 10$ holiday cash? Is there a minimum purchase amount? Are there any exclusions for use other than one per transaction?

      The $10 coupons cannot be used on Apple products, Quirky products, airtime, gift cards, special orders, refurbished items, or online. HTH.

    Thank you so much Colin!! This deal worked great. I had to have my brother in a different town order them because we only have franchised Radio Shacks in my area. I called around and only corporate stores are offering this. I called the specific store to check stock and was told they were all gone so instead the manager will order them online and have then shipped to my house!!

    The price is the same as walmart’s Black Friday price. The gift card is also for the same amount. The difference is the $60 in holiday cash and Walmart will not match that.

    I just bought one! Traded in some old ipods we had and a nano for credit of $100 toward my purchase 🙂 Then turned around and used the gift card and my old iPhone 4 as a trade on a NEW iPhone 5s. Got the 5s for free. So total out of pocket was $200 for an IPad mini and new iPhone 5s. I still have the $60 Christmas cash. Looking for ideas to spend them. You have to use each $10 for 1 purchase and I was informed I can’t use them for google or iTunes cards 🙁 Anyone have any ideas?

    I just went to Radio Shack and did this deal. I purchased the Ipad and $4.99 batteries. I got $100 radio shack gift card and $60 in Christmas Cash. I took the $100 Radio Shack Gift Card and then purchased a $100 Amazon Gift Card. From the Amazon transaction I got another $20 in Christmas Cash! Great deal! The Christmas cash just be used individual transactions though.

    Absolute garbage! None of my Radio Shacks in a 50 mile radius have this offer available – I have been told that Radio Shack is sold out of the iPad minis. Yet the special is still posted on their website. And a recent CNET article quotes a Radio Shack spokesperson as saying that they “promised” the special would go through this week.

    If I were to purchase the mini and receive the gift card, couldn’t I then return the mini a day or two later and repurchase it again, using the gift card toward the purchase? Our have they figured out some way to prevent customers from doing this?

    The gc will not roll for a 2nd ipad mini purchase, it says so in the ad. I just did this deal this morning but They have to have it brought in from another store. I feel lucky. $100 GC and $60 store cash! That’s called FREE TOYS. My favorite words during the holidays.

    I told my sister about this great deal as she wanted to get her DH one for Christmas. She went to her RadioShack in MS, they told her that she had to purchase the $99 Apple Care plan. She called me and I told her absolutely NOT, make them show you were it says that because I haven’t seen it online or in the weekly ad. The salesman told her that that came from his manager. She explained to him that I lived in another state and was able to purchase it without the plan. He actually called the store that I purchased at in LA and they verified it! In the end, she did get the deal so no onlineplaints! Anyone else run into this?

      NO! That manager is trying to boost his sales goals! There is no such thing as a mandatory purchase of an extra warranty! I charged my iPad mini on my American Express, bc they extend the warranty. This was a great deal! I purchased the iPad mini with a $7.99 SD flash card & received the $100 gift card & $60 in holiday cash. I did another transaction & purchased the Beats headphones that were on sale for $199 & used my $100 gift card from the iPad & received a $20 gift card & $50 in holiday cash. Thanks Collin!!!
