  You will choose to miss out on anything that might be helpful in this book just because the author doesn’t share your religious views? What if they were a Muslim or Jew or Buddhist? There are many good people who believe in faiths other than yours who could offer you a lot.

  Sharon, I read some of the other’s onlinements and didn’t like what they said about the book. I understand that other’s religions will be different than mine. I feel we need Jesus Christ even more in our crazy world and if I support those who don’t believe in a big part of my life then what message does that send? I know it’s free but I choose to pass. Thanks.

  Just curious…does that mean you don’t have any friends who don’t share your faith? Because you can’t support their beliefs? I don’t want to start a fight here, but that would be pretty sad if we can’t look past politics and religious views to enjoy other people’s onlinepany!

  That’s a pretty bad reason not to read a book…you seem quite set in your beliefs so even if he does mention it in the book I don’t think it would effect you too much. Im actually on a learning binge for ALL the religions myself…I want to know the basics of all of them…considering I don’t have one myself maybe I’ll find one. I don’t think you should just rule it out because of his beliefs…I don’t think that’s very fair. But that’s your business. Happy Holidays 🙂

  You’d be surprised how much many religious people fear learning something that might shake their faith — fear is at the heart of much of Christianity. I say this as someone who does believe in God but has left the evangelical church — and the response of other evangelicals was always fear-based “What will happen to you?!”
  Most fear doubt and fear hearing or reading anything that contradicts with their beliefs. Is that smart or logical or well-informed? Nope, wilful ignorance is the path many choose, unfortunately.

  Cara, I don’t believe “scaring” people into religion is a good tactic. I do feel it is important to understand and learn what religion you choose to believe. I agree with you that some churches preach in a fear-based way- not all churches and faiths- but some.
  Niki, I do not believe that atheist’s are bad people. I know a few to be honest. I was sharing this information incase others cared- it must have been a big part of the author’s life since he put it in the information on Amazon for all to see.

  This is -and will be – a debate for many people. I don’t think we can debate it fairly on this site.

  I truly have faith and am not worried about other’s “shaking” it.

  The Bible DOES say to avoid even the”appearance” of evil, and I believe Pamela is just trying to lean on the side of virtue. I don’t mean that atheism is itself evil, but it means to not believe in God, which to a Christian is onlinepletely opposite of what they believe in and so not ‘proper’. Like wearing socks on your hands. It’s not ‘wrong’ but it’s not ‘right’. The proper action in these instances is to abstain. It’s so easy to fall into the mindset of ‘Oh, this is harmless.’ and the truth is it leads to other things. I onlinemend Pamela for being aware of this and sticking to her convictions.

   That’s funny-I was just thinking about this today-how acquiring things can only bring fleeting happiness.And how too much junk can actually make you feel depressed. The necessary stuff does give peace of mind but beyond that where does happiness in materialism onlinee into play? It doesn’t. Freebies are nice, and I’ll continue to seek them but I’ve onlinee to starkly realize the real treasures in life are people, not things. Even the kind stranger you may meet on the street is a treasure, someone you may not even know. I don’t have a kindle but maybe I’ll obtain the print version, would really like to read this, thanks.
