    • laura s.

btw i see you changed the post from american idol to survivor but there is NO live viggle tonight. just the above bonus points 🙂

      • Christina

U still get the points by the minute, just not the bonus. I did, in one night I recieved over 2500 points and only 2 shows had bonus. This was my first night using viggle, just got my iphone

    • Darla

Laura, how do you find out which shows are offering bonus points? Thanks!

  2. Samantha

I LOVE Viggle! I’ve been using it about 3 weeks and have already earned 4 $10 Old Navy gift cards and a $5 Starbucks card…and I almost have enough for another one! Best app ever!!!

  3. ratna

i got $ 75 amazon card and $10 papa john since march 🙂

  4. Bridgett Colglazier MacInnis

Seriously LOVE this app! I’ve gotten $75 in Best Buy gift cards and 2 Hollywood Movie Tickets and still have over 23,000 points. I’ve only been on this since the first of March!!!

    • HECK

HOW DID YOU GET 75 IN BEST BUY SO FAST?? YOU STARTED IN MARCH RIGHT? A BEST BUY 25$ CARD IS 50K POINTS, THAT MEANS YOU GOT AT LEAST 150K POINTS AND IM DOING THE MATH, IT DOESNT ADD UP, PLEASE TELL ME YOUR SECRET

      • Bridgett

When they first started best buy was only 37500 pts. And there were ads worth 100 pts that you could watch 20-30 times in a row. It would take much longer now but still the best real rewards app out there. I get about 2000 pts a day by checking into music channels during the day (they last about 2-3 hrs) and always checking into a bonus shows at 7-8-9-&-10.

  5. Kristen

I think Viggle is going downhill (getting harder to get points, and a lot of gift card options are going away), but I still like it and use it 🙂 But there are no bonus points for American Idol tonight so there are better shows you could check in to 😉

    • rami

I agree with kristen, they have change GATORADE from 75 points to 30, BING from 100 points to 10……….now a days its very hard to get ad.

    • Wendy

I agree. And I think 50,000 points for Amazon & Target is ridiculous. Bring back Best Buy too!

      • Samantha

Wendy I agree! I love Target and Amazon, but why get one $25 gift card to one of those places when I can get $35 worth of gift cards somewhere else? Most of them are $5 for every 7,500 points…10,000 points for every $5 just seems like a bit much to me!

        • Wendy

I had decided I’d save all my points and redeem for Best Buy gift cards, and buy myself the Canon Rebel I’ve been dying to get. I got enough for one Best Buy card ($25 for 37,500 points). And now Best Buy is gone. If they bring it back, it’s probably going to be jacked up. Yes, I can get the camera at Target or Amazon, but I think $50k is too much (even if it’s technically free).

    • jenna

Agree Kristin, when it first came out you got ads all the time, trivia, and many more points all around. At the rate it is now, you would probably be able to get 2 $5 GC a month, that is if they don’t inflate the amount of points like they did with the Target Card.

    • Samantha

I’ve noticed a difference just in the few weeks I’ve been using it. When I started, it seemed like there were several ads and most of the shows worth extra points were 250+ points. Now most of the ones I see are 200 or 225…and hardly any ads! I still love it, but I’m guessing that since they are getting more popular, maybe they are cutting back on rewards? 🙁

    • Erin

Yup. I was getting 5,000 points easy most days. Now I’m lucky to be getting 2,000 a day, and other than Target, there’s no rewards I’m interested in. I kinda wish the reminder emails weren’t posted so frequently 🙁

  6. kristi

There’s no Android version? Bummer. 🙁

    • wench1109

      I know.
When is the Android version onlineing?

      • kristi

Maybe we can contact them? It’s worth a shot! 🙂 Sounds like a fun app, definitely something I would take part in.

        • Marina

In the middle of February, they said that an android version will be onlineing out in 4-6 weeks, and everytime someone asks them that question, they keep on saying 4-6 weeks. So, it may never onlinee out.

    • Kara B

I have an Android too and have been SO excited with the prospect of getting this app. But the original 4-6 weeks has now turned in to about 12 weeks, so I’m not holding my breath.

Not to mention, if they open up the app to twice as many users (adding Android to all the i-options), I’m guessing it’s going to be even MORE difficult to earn points, with far less redemption options.

Oh, sigh… it’s still super cool that such a program exists and that they give away stuff just for watching TV! 🙂

  7. Casey

I’m so sad the Best Buy card went away when I was within 100 points of getting one. 🙁 Now I am hustling for a Target card! Already cashed in $75 worth of BB cards, so I can’t onlineplain 🙂

  8. Bethany

Can you check into more than one featured show an hour?

    • laura s.

      yess….every 10 mins.

    • Tim Fisher

      Nope, you can’t.

      • Tim Fisher

oops…I thought you weren’t able to.

    • Misty

I thought you could only receive points for one show at a time. If u check into one show and then ten minutes later change, don’t u only get the points for the ten minutes u watched?? This is what I thought.

      • laura s.

im talking about bonus points not per min points

        • laura s.

(see my post #1 ) those are the bonus show.
          ex. check into
Interior Therapy with Jeff Lewis (Bravo HD 9/8C +200 VP) @ 9
          check into
          Sons of Guns (DSC 9pm E/P +200 VP) @9:15
          check into
          Don’t Trust the B* in pt 23 (ABC 9:30/8:30C +225 VP) @ 930.
get 200 + 200 + 225 + the per min points (which is 1pt per min now-that stinks it use to be more!)

      • Kristen

You get 1 point per minute you are checked into a show (any show). Or you can check in to the “featured shows,” which have bonus points (Laura posted tonight’s featured shows above). If you check in to a show which has bonus points, and remain checked in for 10 minutes (even if you close the app), you will get the bonus points (for example, 225 bonus points) plus 1 point/minute. Then you can check in to another show after 10 minutes (or maybe 11, to be safe). So if you checked in to all the “featured shows” during the 10:00 hour tonight, you could get 975 bonus points plus 1 point/minute, so about 1,035 bonus points for that hour.

        • Misty

Interesting…I just stand using viggle two weeks ago. I did to know that. I have missed out on so many points!!!! Thanks for the info.

        • Tina

wow and I have only been checking into 1 show only ugh …….. Now my husband has started viggle but we cant be checked into the same show at the same time? I have only redeemed the papa johns cards but I dont get free pizza because I can only use 1 card per pizza the mgr said i have to use them online and not bring in my ecard.

          • Kristen

Do you and your husband use the same device, or do you each have your own? If you each have your own device, you can be checked in to the same show at the same time. If you are sharing one device, it could theoretically work, I think. You would just have to log out of your account and into his each time you wanted to check-in to a new show. Kind of a pain, but I think it should be do-able!

Your Papa Johns manager won’t let you use more than 1 e-gift card in store? I would think you should be able to choose the “cash” option for payment, then bring in any number of gift cards to pay with, instead of cash. If the manager says no you might try contacting corporate just to make sure he’s correct.

  9. Miya Lee

does viggle allow you to get real gift cards or only e-gift cards?

    • Kristen

They are e-gift cards sent to you via email. You can use them online, print them and use them at the store, or if you have a physical Starbucks gift card already you can add the value to it (if you choose to redeem your points for a Starbucks card, obviously!).

    • Cindy

Some of the stores will allow you to buy physical gift cards with their e-gift certificates. Best Buy and many Target stores will let you use the certificates for any gift card they carry in the store. When Viggle had Best Buy, I used them to buy Amazon cards.

    • Kay

I got the Old Navy gift cards and you can print out the code and use them in store. If you click on the store as if you were about to buy it, you can read all the fine print.

  10. Lorna

Love this app..helps out with my starbucks & itunes addiction..this is a MUST if you are a serious tv watcher

  11. Cherry

how do i know the schedule of the shows with points? just signed up…this is interesting. thanks!

    • Kristen

I think they usually post the schedule on their blog each day: https://viggle.online/index.php/blog/

There’s also a Viggle forum on slickdeals (dot) net that I find very helpful 🙂

  12. Kathie M

    So far I’ve gotten…
    $50 from JCPenney
    4 Movie Tickets
    $5 B&N
    $80 Starbucks
    $50 CVS
    $15 Papa Murphy’s
    $60 Chili’s

And I still have enough 70,000 points! I joined March 6th (I think) from one of Collin’s posts. While I have to admit the app used to pay the points much faster it’s still good for use of time for me (I do Swagbucks and love it too but I earn much faster here even at the new “slow” rate)!

  13. Ashley

I started using Viggle when Collin for posted about it and saved enough points to get all best buy rewards that I redeemed for a new iPad! At first I wasn’t sure it was legit, but I’m really glad I tried it. Thanks, Collin!

  14. Ciera

I’ve had the app for almost two month and I’ve gotten $25 Amazon card, $10 CVS card, $25 Target card, and $40 in Old Navy gift cards. Love the app and getting free money! 🙂

  15. Kim G

Viggle is going downhill…..fast. It’s beonlinee more “work” than rewards. My time is more valuable than that. By the time you save for something, it’s gone or has increased dramatically in price, while at the same time they are decreasing your earning potential (viewing time went from 2 pts per min. to 1, ads decreased value by 50-90%, and they are having serious problems with consistently awarding Bonus points for check-ins (just check out ALL the onlineplaints on their Twitter and FB pages).

  16. DeniseL

How does this work exactly? I downloaded the app. Now what do i do? Do I just click on the app and keep it near my tv? Is it possible to watch a show on your iPad (thru the abc app) while still earning points thru Viggle?

    • Nancy

You check in to any show your watching by clicking on the check in tab. It will listen to your tv and tell you what your watching. In order to get bonus points you would check in to the featured shows, you can find out what the featured shows are by clicking what’s on and featured shows. The only way you can watch a show on your IPAD and check in to viggle is if you had an IPAD and an IPHONE because it has to listen to what your watching and if both apps are on the same device it can’t hear the show as you can’t use two apps at once. HTH

  17. Amanda

Thank you for turning me on to this app!! I am totally addicted…& now, so is my Dad! I’ve got $175 in Best Buy gift cards w/ more points saved for when more BB cards onlinee back in stock. It is a great way for me to earn extra money for Christmas this year!!

  18. Leanne Kenner

I love this app!!! I bought my son some new sneakers with the Foot Locker gift card and am working on saving up points again. I always forget about it (I know, shame shame) but am working more at it! =)

  19. Tina

Can u use more than 1 gift card at a time like best buy to purchase something costly? What are some high value show during the morning hours?

    • Kristen

You can see all the featured shows on their blog each day, but there are almost never shows with bonus points on in the morning. I have seen a bonus for the Today show once, but otherwise I’ve only seen bonus points start as early as 7pm. You could try recording a show and checking in to it the next morning, but they don’t guarantee points from a recorded show.

It depends on the retailer whether or not you can stack gift cards. The viggle board on slickdeals has a wiki on the first page, which lists some retailers and whether or not they allow gift card stacking.

    • Cindy

Yes, you can use multiple Best Buy gift cards to buy something expensive. Last week, I used 10 e-gift certificates to buy $250 in Amazon gift cards for my husband and I.

  20. kayla

Can u download this app on your onlineputer to watch and earn points

    • laura s.

ipad , ipod touch, or iphone.

  21. kayla

    Thank you

  22. Cindy

As of today, Viggle has lowered the maximum number of points you can earn in a day from 12,000 to 6,000. Talk about an uproar. The onlinepany has been deleting many negative posts left on its Facebook page.

    • Crystal

I saw that people were getting upset but how can someone really get that many points anyway? Every night I check into every single bonus show and I must watch the ads at least 10 times throughout the day, if not more. And I don’t even onlinee close to 12,000.

  23. morasue

I am just learning how to use the app- can someone help? When I am watching a show on hulu sometimes there is still an option to pay viggle live, and when I hit that button it takes me to a screen that says “thanks for playing” and of I hit the back button it says “You have not onlinepleted this bonus engagement” – What am I suppose to be doing to onlineplete the bonus engagement?

  24. david

There is another app similar to viggle called ” app trailers “, you get rewards for watching app trailers and referrals. If you would like a referral you can put my name in (mile26point2) you get bonus points and i will get bonus points. Thanks! BTW the app is free!
