I wonder how long it takes to ship it to the store?(Since 3/31 is right around the corner).

    • Christy Lighthouse

It says on their site when you do in store pickup it’s ready in about an hour. I was wondering the same thing because we’re moving next week and NEED to do an oil change on our car before we make the 600 mile trip. lol

  2. Charis

I wonder if you have to spend exactly $20 to get the rebate? My total is onlineing to $19.95.

    • Christy Lighthouse

Usually with most rebates if it’s a $20 rebate and you spend a few cents under they just give you whatever you spent on it.

    • SherryA

The form just says “5 quarts”, so I don’t think there is a dollar amount limit.

    • Gentle

Well, the wording on the rebate form is buy an oil change using the specific type of oil you choose (you have 4 to choose from) or buy 5 quarts of that specific oil to get the rebate. So, I’m assuming as long as your receipt shows you purchased 5 quarts you should still get the $20. They offered a $20 rebate-it doesn’t state that you can’t get them on sale or anything and the sale is based on Advanced Auto Parts probably and has nothing to do with Quaker State. But, even if they just give you a rebate for the $19.95 it’s still a great deal.

  3. stacy

There is contact information and an email address i suggest you call before you do the rebate

    • cristie

I called and I was not given an option to speak to a customer representative.

  4. Kelly

Go through ebates for 6% back! 🙂

  5. Mary

I don’t get it…it says rebate will be mailed to you. How the heck does that work??

  6. Mary

Opps…I meant it says the rebate will be EMAILED to you….how does that work…you can’t cash an email??

    • robyn

you have to print it from your email.

  7. Rebecca T.

The rebate form is emailed to you and u have to print it out.

  8. kathleen

it says one per vehicle, so if I have two cars, can I do this two times????

  9. robyn

question i have is the rebate says a printed cash register receipt. if i buy it online how do i get the receipt?

    • Carol

Good question, I did an oil rebate with Advance Auto in early January. I’m still waiting on my rebate. They have thrown it out twice even after I faxed them exactly what they told me to on the phone. Three days later it was thrown out again. A month later (yesterday) I began wondering about my rebate again and I looked online and it had been thrown out again! The reason is an invalid Register #. I ordered online and then picked it up on the store and got a “Pick Ticket” in the store and for some reason they are not honoring it so now I don’t know if I should do this deal or not since I may have just lost $20 already trying to get a rebate from them.

      • kathleen

This is not an Advance Auto rebate, it’s a Quaker State rebate, so you shouldn’t have these issues, at least I hope not.

      • Mary

UGH! I just ordered online…maybe it would have been better to go to the store. I guess when I pick it up I can have them “return” it, and then have them ring it up so I get a regular receipt.

      • angela

oh, no! If I’d known that I wouldnt have bothered.

  10. Mary

Rebate says to include”your printed installer”. What is that???

    • kathleen

this is only if you get the oil installed (oil change), then you need to submit an installer identified printed receipt. LOL. (weird wording) Otherwise, in our case, you just submit a cash register receipt

      • Mary

So will I get a cash register receipt at the store if I ordered online??

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You may want to ask the cashier if he/she can print one for you when you go pick up the oil in store.

        • Kathleen

yes you get a receipt, just picked mine up

      • Melissa Mc

I talked with the people at advanced auto parts and they can’t print the receipt in store if you ordered online due to the fact that it isnt in their systems its in the online system so they have no way of recalling the order. Does anyone know if the rebate still works wtih a printed online receipt?

  11. Lyndsay

Thanks so much, just ordered it, hope it all works out well!

  12. Fabiola

Can I just go to store and buy and still be able to submit for rebate?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Yes, you can! However, I’m not sure if the price will be the same, as it retails for $6.79!?

  13. midget

If you spend $100 + then it looks like you get an additional 15% off and a coupon for $50 off a $100 purchase 4/11 – 5/11 (promo code MA100). Great deal if you need parts.

  14. luvpinsanity

Yes you would be able to buy this in store and submit for rebate. I would watch prices though since the online prices seem to have some significant cuts which may or may not be reflected in store…

HAS ANYONE SEEN A REBATE FOR AN OIL FILTER?!! 🙂

    • mb

at walmart the filters in the orange box they had some that expired but u could check mayb they came out with new ones

      • luvpinsanity

Your the best!! I have to go there anyway today. Thanks so much!

  15. Tomesha Renell

how do you use the shopathome website? I have been a member for months and can’t figure it out.

    • Melissa Mc

Hey Tomesha, the shopathome site can be a bit difficult to navigate at first especially since they recently changed the format.
      1. go to http://www.shopathome.online
2.go to the top right hand corner of the page where it says “login” and put in your username and password to login
      3. use the search bar on the main page and type in the store you’re looking to shop at and hit search(i.e Advanced Auto parts)
4.you’ll see a list of search results, usually the store will be the first. Click on the store name that will appear as a Blue link next to the picture.
      5. you’ll be taken to the stores page where you’ll see a picture with a big blue “Shop Now” button. You can either click that button and be taken directly to the store or scroll through the list of coupon links and click through any of the “activate” or “reveal code” buttons which will activate a pop up screen showing the code and take you directly to the stores page. By clicking through the shop at home site they’re automatically tracking your order and no further action will be needed on your part, just make sure not to close the window or you’ll have to go back through the site again if you want to earn the cash back.
      Hope that helps! Happy Shopping!

Full Synthetic Motor Oil is bad for your car

    • Mechanic's Wife ;)

Full Synthetic Oil is the BEST choice for your car. Especially if your car is a 2005 or newer. The only downfall is once you use Full Syn, you have to use Full Syn every oil change. It’s a little pricier, but it lubricates & flows ALOT smoother. Ask any Lube Technician. They’ll tell you. There’s a reason that Royal Purple (which is Full Synthetic) is used by NASCAR and is $12 a quart… Just sayin’

      • Heather

I am a gearhead, and I too disagree with the statement that it’s bad for your car. Due to our high degree of driving, we use Amsoil. I have never had an issue with any of their products.

  18. Dana

    Thanks!

  19. Anna

    i think we need 5w-20 🙁

  20. Sherrisa

does anyone know how long this deal is going on?

  21. Beth

I bought my 5 quarts from the store by my office today, it was also $3.99 in store. The cashier was impressed with my deal!

    • CHI

Im in N. GA and my store didn’t have it on sale in store, it was around 7.29 per quart.

      • Ali

I know you are in ranting mode here…but it still hasn’t been 6-8 weeks. I agree, the eirnte process is ridiculous, but it could still have a happy ending if you wait a couple more weeks.

  22. teena

We have 6 cars & dyi all of our oil changes. Savings like these help immensely! Thank You Collin for all you do!

a sidenote- synthetic oil is not bad for your engine- it is preferred by car manufacturers! We have 1 car with over 223k miles and an SUV with over 185k and both cars have always had synthetic oil in them!

  23. cdawnt

I bought mine and now was ready to submit rebate and can’t print the rebate form! They’ve removed it from the internet, I’ve looked everywhere.

    • elisabeth

      i’m having the SAME problem!

    • Jennifer

I have it. I can send it to you

      • elisabeth

THANK YOU!!! Are you able to email it? If so, [email protected] is my email address. I would greatly appreciate the help!

        • Jennifer

          Sent! Enjoy!

          • SherryA

Hi Jennifer – If you could send it me as well, I would appreciate it. I’ve tried several links, but nothing! It’s [email protected]. thanks so much!

  24. Jennifer

does anyone have a copy of the form? I cant find it anywhere and I purchased the oil!

    • Julie

I can’t print the rebate form either. Can anyone send it to me?

      • Jennifer

I can. Anyone needing it just email me at mom2pinkandblue at yahoo.online and I’ll send you the form

  25. Mary

Rebate states product receipt must show Brand and type required on invoice. I have an invoice that just shows Quaker State but not the type….so i guess that’s a no go? The store said there is nothing they can do about it! Any one else have this issue?

  26. Jennifer

I replied to all the emails I received so far that requested the form. If you emailed me and dont see my reply please email me again. I had quite a few requests so I may have missed one or so.
