I just received this email from reader, Amanda:

Okay so here’s a SWEET deal that keeps on giving….

~You buy one carton of Chiquita Apple Bites, I bought the variety pictured here

They ran for $3.50 at my Military onlinemissary…

Located on the outside of the box is a peel off coupon with a code underneath for a FREE box of apple bites. So you buy that box. and your next box is FREE….then that free box has a code on it for ANOTHER free box…and so on and so on…. free apple bites for life! Well okay, not really, but at least until they stop running the promotion, lol.

You just enter your unique 6 digit code at www.chiquita.online/freshoffer and input your email address, and BAM … you can print a coupon for a FREE new pack (up to a 4.50 value)!

What a cool promotion! Thanks so much for passing this along, Amanda! I actually didn’t even know about this promo and I’m wondering if it’s a nationwide thing or only available in select locations. Let us know if you’re able to find this peel off tab on your Chiquita apple bites purchase and please share your location. Thanks!

They ran this promotion one time before and I took full advantage of it. I think I did it about 8 times before it stopped. Great deal on lunchbox fruit.

  2. Laurie W

I just looked at the website and entered my information. I didn’t have a code but it still let me print a coupon for $4.50 off one Chiquita Bites Multi Pack. Kinda weird but I will take it. I have five hungry kiddos to feed and every little bit helps. Thank you!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

So did you leave the code box empty? I tried to but it was a no go for me

    • shawniern

      How did you do that?????

      • Laurie W

I didn’t enter anything. I guess it was just a fluke. Sorry it didn’t work for you:(

  3. carrie

Oh, silly me who just bought 15 lbs. organic honey crisp @ Whole Foods today since it was $1.49. Just kidding, I’ll always take more free food!

  4. rblondish

I just got 10 pounds of honey crisp too but there is always pie, or crisp, or dried, or……..we love apples. hope I can find this deal too.

  5. Sunny

so you are printing a coupon for a “free” product? my onlinemissary would not let me use a printable coupon for a “free” product :((

    • Kim

No, the onlinemissary will not allow you to use a “free” coupon, but if it states $4.50 off the apples (even if it is over the price of the package), they take it.

      • Kim

Oops, I meant a free printed internet coupon. Ours still takes the free mail in coupons.

  6. Vickie Jones

Yup the onlinemisary will not take printed Free or BOGO cooupons anymore. to much fraud, In fact unless you hold your ground, they won’t take free or BOGOS that you get straight from the onlinepany.

I also had a bit of trouble at Safeway last week with a BOGO, coupon fraud is really messing things up for us

    • k.

mine in Ft. Gordon lets me… just did it the other day twice…

    • VickiRae

The onlinemissary should allow the use of B1G1 because as far as I know they haven’t changed their policy. It states you cannot use the free coupon printable but b1g1 is allowed. If you have any issues contact them on their FB page. https://www.facebook.online/?ref=logo#!/Youronlinemissary

    SITE IS FROZEN….

    • Melissa

yeah,b/c everyone in their granma is trying to look and the site can’t hold all the extra traffic!! I was on shortly after Collin posted, it would not let me get past with just my email, said I needed a code. Then I remembered my sister had dropped off some stuff for nephew (he’s spending the weekend) and the chiquita apples had a code. Now I can’t even get on!

  8. amanda

hey guys….im the amanda who emailed collin about this…lol…. you can use the coupon at any grocery store that takes them, doesn’t have to be a onlinemissary (that’s just where I shop)…on a side note, my onlinemissary (mcguire afb) does in fact accept BOGO and free coupons, ive never ran into a prob. and ive cashed in not only on these free apples multiple times, but also coupons for a free box of toaster struedel (i won that instant win game on pilsburys website and they mailed me coupons for free struedel) and also that free box of cottentale flushable wipes coupon a lot of us got sent via mail. so I guess it all depends on ur specific onlinemisary

    • amanda

and I know what you mean with the fraud thing..that’s just no fair….i would try and stand ur ground if u can, especially with coupons that onlinee right from the onlinepany themselves! and I guess if the store ur fighting with still wanna be stinker butts, just take ur coupon elsewhere….lol. I mean, these stores do get reimbursed! :p

    • Sunny

my onlinemissary also takes “free” mfq, just not the ones I print at home. unfortunately. is your onlinemissary taking the ones you print at home? I feel like calling deca customer service, because, now they are telling me, if the coupon doesn’t scan, they will not enter it manually anymore and I don’t have any other options. the only other store that we have near is walmart..yikes!!

    • dara

hello fellow collin follower… i shop at mcguire too!! i love her blog! she has saved me so much money at the onlinemissary! thanks a bunch collin!!!

  9. Amanda Spurgeon

I love this that makes eating Fresh Fruit a lot more affordable. I hope it is nationwide.

  10. amanda

hey sunny…. yup mcguires onlinemissary takes the coupons I print at home. I save anywhere from 10 to 20% on my onlinemisary bill with at home printed internet coupons. and as a matter of fact, the free apple coupon that this post is about is a free at home printable. they scan no prob. I think ive had one or two that the register didnt recognize and a manager would just onlinee over and manually approve it. u should call deca….it cant hurt ya know?

  11. amanda

and im assuming these peel off codes on the boxes are nationwide, or if not, I know its not just on the boxes cent to jersey because on the site where u redeem ur coupon, it asks where uwill purchase ur free product and a couple of the stores they have defaulted arent even in jersey (giant eagle, harris teeter etc). so im holding out high hopes 🙂

  12. cindy

funny thing is there is a similar thing going with tasters choice 7 count instant coffee pouches. they run $1 at Target and there is a coupon in each box for $1 off ANY taster choice coffee…I have done this coupon about 10x and it is the gift that keeps on giving!!!!!

    • bentleymommy

I am doing this with the diapers at rite aid right now. The sample packs(tugaboos) are 99 cents (89 cents this week) and every pack (2 diapers) has a $1 coupon off any… I have rolled them 40 times so far!!!

      • Amy

i wish we had a rite aid near by im not even sure where the closest one is….free diapers would be awesome!

      • CC

I have never been able to find the sample packs..are they in special place?

      • Anne-Marie

my rite aid has started really looking at my coupon for the tugaboos and i wouldn’t be surprised if before long they have a reason not to accept it. this last time i was going to buy two and didn’t realize that the coupon states only one per purchase per customer. she only let me use one.

    • stephanie

I have been doing that too 🙂

  13. ginger

i think there’s also upromise e-coupons for these.

  14. anna15nc

… and be sure to check the box for this 🙂

✔ Yes, I am interested in participating in an online survey from Chiquita about their products. Participants will be given a $25 VISA gift card once surveys are onlinepleted.

  15. Mary Beth

Since it seems to be a peel off tag (to get the code) and an e-mail coupon, perhaps if you tape the peel off tab to the coupon, it will show how you got it — for any of the stores that hassle about free coupons. (Although I don’t blame them, with all the fraud these days.)

  16. stephanie

Wrong reply. I meant the coffee not diapers 🙂
Although, I’m going for that now.

  17. Chrissy Whte

I saw this peelie at the store and considered buying them. I’m glad you wrote this post, because now I will be going back and getting some apples! Excellent idea.

  18. Julie

I did this deal 2 weeks ago at Meijer and their price is 3.99. This past week they were on sale for 2.99 and even some were marked down to 20% more. Also you can add filler items in and most cashiers were taking the full $4.50 off that the coupon says. It makes for a great deal!!!

  19. Kevin

Did anyone else have a problem with the site? Entered my code/e-mail, clicked Submit, then nothing. Got a blank page. I then clicked the link for problems printing the coupon and I can’t seem to submit that form either.

    • bfam

The site crashed when I tried ot enter my coupon. Even the little “help” box on the left side doesn’t let you submit. When I try to enter my code now, it says it’s already been used. I called their customer service and they will snail mail me a coupon. That’s going to take forever – defeating the whole purpose of rolling this deal!

    • Stephanie

I had the same problem, the site would not load the coupon and then today it tells me my code is expired, so annoying! Thanks for the tip, I will be calling customer service tomorrow.

    • Stacy

Same thing happened to me. I will call customer service. Dangit!

  20. jen

it worked for me, but i had a code from carrots but the coupon i printed says “washed, slice and ready to eat fresh fruit” Anyone know if I can use it on the carrots again or not?

  21. mjk2

I purchased two and entered both codes separately and printed both coupons. When I looked at the coupons the barcodes are exactly the same. How will they know I purchased two? Will I be able to use both coupons at once. And if the barcodes are the same then you can bet people will just keep printing the same one to use without another purchase. If you have a legitimate coupon, I would use it soon, before there are problems.
