Kohl’s is updating their coupon policy! Here’s what you need to know…

We love a good Kohl’s coupon, but the growing number of exclusions had started to bog down shoppers’ (and our own) excitement for scoring these “hot” deals. 🫠  What used to be many readers’ go-to store had beonlinee less favored due to the exclusions.

But a big change is happening involving an updated coupon policy! 🙌🏼

After consistent losses and some Kohl’s stores closing, newly appointed CEO Ashley Buchanan knew it was time to make a change, and what better way than an amendment to the widely popular Kohl’s Cash and coupons!

According to Buchanan, the goal is to reverse some of the exclusions to allow customers to shop with promotional coupons more consistently.

And effective April 30th, these are just some of the brands now eligible or re-eligible for Kohl’s coupons:

  • IZOD
  • Cuddl Duds
  • Zero Xposur
  • Lands’ End
  • Clarks
  • Limited Too
  • Aeropostale
  • REEF
  • Totes
  • Dickies
  • Cupshe
  • Van Heusen
  • Caterpillar
  • Mr. Coffee
  • + MORE!

As more brands are announced, we’ll be sure to keep you posted!

We are retired and have everything we need. Most of our purchasing is for gifts or charity. I onlinepare prices with Target and Walmart prices.

Kohl’s needs to rework their website. No other site makes you decide how you will receive your merchandise before you are even ready to order. I had to make almost a dozen calls just to get my address changed when I moved. Had to call the credit card department, the shipping department, the billing department all more than once. Even then I had to find the final wrong shipping address on my own at the bottom of all the old addresses I had shipped to other people and had since past away and I was cleaning the page up. At the very bottom was my old address.

Diane- I agree. They changed my first name on my e-mails and other things. It’s not close to my real name.I called the executive escalation team and they told me I must have done it and even IT cannot fix it.. How stupid can you get. I have to change my mailing address name and credit card name every time! We have bought so much less from them. I used to buy hundreds of dollars of small appliances and household goods for the shelter.

I hope New Balance and Carter’s are re-eligible for coupons!

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

Finger crossed we see those brands qualify again, Cheryl! 🤞

  4. Vicki Bousquet

This is my least favorite store to shop. I believe they are guilty of deceptive pricing, and false sale prices. Even with their Kohls cash which should not have an expiration date so soon, if you earned it they should at the very least give you the option of using it when you want within a 1-3 month period.

  5. Kim P Cash

Carters and Yankee Candle for me. I used to buy a lot more at Kohls and in the last year almost everything I tried to buy was a coupon exclusion.

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks for sharing, Kim! Totally hear you on Kohl’s—those exclusions can be such a bummer. Hoping Kohl’s continues to make changes so it’s easier to snag deals on more of our favorite brands! 🤞🛍️

  6. SuziQ

It’s the checkout situation that keeps me out of Kohls. Last time I was there, EVERYTHING had to be done at the front registers—purchases, Kohls returns, and Amazon returns. And they had ONE register open with a pretty hefty line. There’s not a coupon in the world that makes up for that disaster.

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

Oh no! Sorry to hear about the checkout situation at your store, SuziQ! I had a similar issue before Christmas with a pick-up order and needed to wait in the long line for the registers to be able to reach customer service. Thankfully, the line went super quick and they had plenty of registers and associates available at that time. ❤️ Hopefully your store improves soon too—because the deals are definitely more fun when the checkout is smooth! 🙌

  7. Shelly

onlinepletely agree with the above. As soon as 2-3 years ago this was my favorite store to shop, but it has dramatically gone down hill from the prices to customer service. I was waiting to check with my mom on an appliance for sale over the weekend. Got word today which she chose and it’s 20% more even with the 40% off coupon! At least at other retailers you can count on a sale price being a sale price.

  8. S

One change that would bring me back would be to allow for the coupons to be applied BEFORE the Kohl’s Cash is taken off!

  9. Becki

I still love Kohl’s but have gotten so upset with their brand exclusion list that kept getting longer and longer the last few years. I used to buy all of our shoes and jeans there…now I don’t buy any of those. I really hope that they keep adding more brands that can use the coupon.

  10. Sue

I wish the return policy would change when using Kohl’s cash. Most times it takes me a while to find something to use it on and if it needs returned I get it back, which means more work for me. It never seems to match the amount charged to my account vs the Kohl’s cash amount when buying multiple items. Rant over. 🙂

  11. Pam14

Well, it is in the news today that Kohls CEO, Ashley Buchanan has been fired after four months on the job due to unethical behavior. Hopefully the next one will straighten things out because the store has certainly gone downhill.

  12. Sheila

I saw that the Kohls CEO Ashley Buchanan got fired today, so it will be interesting to see how this affects these changes to their coupon policies.
