Let the good times roll with this freebie for kids!

Did you know that kids can roller skate FREE at select skating centers all across the country? Kids Skate Free is a program that offers free roller skating passes for children so that they can have fun while staying active.

Much like Kids Bowl Free, this program was previously only available during the summer months, but now it’s being offered all year long! 🙌

To find a participating roller rink near you, visit KidsSkateFree.online and select your state on the map or search by zip code. Choose the skating center near you for more information on how the program works at your local rink.

Note that their search radius seems to be very small, so you might want to try a few zip codes near you.

If you don’t see your local rink on the list of skating centers near you, we suggest that you print out this letter to make them aware of the program and encourage their participation.

You can register up to four children for free roller skating passes at the center of your choice through the Kids Skate Free website. Note that the age restrictions do vary depending on the roller skating rink’s requirements.

After you’ve registered, you’ll need to download the MyHownd app (iOS or Android) and register for an account using the same email address you used to register for Kids Skate Free. Once you’ve registered on MyHownd, your weekly passes will be immediately available. *Note that if the app is not working for you, be sure to chat online with customer service for your passes.

You’ll receive two Kids Skate Free passes per child, per week. New weekly passes will automatically load onto your app each Monday and will expire within one week.

To redeem your passes, just open your MyHownd app and click on the wallet icon. Click the pass, and then click the orange activate button. You will not want to click that button until you are at the skating rink. Show the front desk the pass, and they will be marked as redeemed.

Note that each participating skating center determines its own dates, times, age restrictions, and skate rental policies, so the details will vary by area.

Happy skating!

I coach juniors roller derby, so I am definitely passing this on to my skaters! 🙂 Thank you for posting this!

How cool! You’re welonlinee, Emily! Glad you can pass it along! 💕

  2. Margaret

The app is no longer available in the iOS to be able to redeem the offer.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

SO odd as that isn’t working for us right now either. 😔 Thanks for the heads up. I did find some details listed that if you cannot grab your passes in the app, to reach out to customer service online, via their chat feature. Hoping that is helpful!❤️ I did add a note to the post.
