I spent 2 weeks and countless hours reading vacuum reviews by individuals and onlinepanies. At first, I was drawn to the Shark brand for its suction power, but their vacuums offered only some of the features important to me. I wanted the lift-off feature, no-tangle brush roll, easy maneuverability, a light, a decent-length cord, and attachments for small spaces. Pet hair is an issue, but my long hair wrapping around the brush roll was my main focus. With my old vacuum, I was sitting on the floor every other week snipping hairs and cleaning out a pile that had wrapped around the brush roll.

I no longer have to do that! The lift-off feature is great! With the pet hair brush roll ( that actually spins and has suction) I can easily clean the carpet on our large cat tree/perch. Oh, and the light actually shines where I need it! I cannot know how powerful the suction is, but I can tell you that my carpets no longer look dull after vacuuming. All in all, I am delighted with my purchase.
