Target Is Now Accepting SNAP Benefits Online in Select States
Residents of select states can now buy SNAP-eligible items online at Target.
Target guests in select states can now pay for eligible grocery items with their Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits on Target.online. This new online payment method is in addition to the option SNAP recipients already have to use their benefits to buy groceries in Target stores.
Target has accepted SNAP payments in its stores for years, and SNAP benefits are currently accepted at every Target location in the US. According to Target, SNAP recipients will soon be able to use their benefits to order groceries via the Target mobile app, too.

Target began testing the use of digital SNAP benefits in Minnesota over the summer before rolling out the program to even more states in September. Currently, digital SNAP EBT benefits can be used at Target in the following states:
- Florida
- Illinois
- Minnesota
- North Carolina
- Ohio
- Texas
How to use SNAP benefits online at Target.online:
- Create or sign in to your Target.online account on a web browser.
- Add an EBT account number as a new card under “Payments.”
- Add SNAP-eligible items to your cart.
- Select EBT as the payment method and enter your PIN to confirm the order.
When using their SNAP benefits, guests can access Target’s contactless same-day services like Order Pickup and Drive Up. There’s no minimum fee or subscription required! Even though SNAP benefits can’t be redeemed through the Target App yet, shoppers can still use their Target Circle offers to score additional savings on their SNAP-eligible purchases.
