Attention Hobby Lobby shoppers! ⚠️ More changes may be onlineing!

It was just over one year ago when Hobby Lobby announced it would eliminate its ever-present and very popular 40% off coupon.

Now, we’re hearing that the retailer is planning to do away with its everyday discount of 30% off furniture! 😱

While there’s been no official word from Hobby Lobby on this rumor yet, people are talking about it all over social media including the Hip2Save Facebook page.

Both store employees and regular shoppers have heard that this change is onlineing soon. In fact, we sent some Hip team members out to their local Hobby Lobby stores to see what they could learn, and a couple of them noticed that the 30% discount was already gone as soon as last night!

In a couple of the stores that we visited, all evidence of the 30% furniture discount had already been removed. In the photo above, you can even see where the yellow “Furniture – Always 30% Off” tag was torn away from the regular price tag.

From what we can gather, the exact timing of this change will differ from store to store, depending on each location’s inventory.

If you’ve been following this discussion on social media, you may have also seen a hotly debated rumor that the retailer is planning to eliminate its furniture department altogether.

While this is not something we’ve been able to confirm, one manager that we spoke with did say that they would not be getting any new furniture in for the spring. We can’t be sure if this is happening onlinepany-wide, but the only furniture that particular store will be selling is the furniture that they currently have in stock as of today. 😱

While there are still a lot of questions left to be answered, it looks like big changes could be imminent for Hobby Lobby’s furniture department.

Will the elimination of Hobby Lobby’s 30% furniture discount happen nationwide? Will the furniture department enter into the store’s regular sales cycle with the other departments? Will the furniture department be eliminated altogether?
