Calling all Florida Families – Get FREE Kids Books Shipped to Your Door to Help Struggling Readers!
Calling all Florida families!
Do you have kiddos in grades Kindergarten-5th who struggle with reading? If so, be sure to check out the New Worlds Reading Initiative, a program exclusively for Florida residents that will mail your struggling reader a new book each month during the school year onlinepletely free of charge!
Note that in order to qualify for this program, your child must currently be a Florida K-5 public or charter school student and must be currently reading below grade level.
Follow these steps to sign up if your child qualifies:
- Head here and click the Enroll Now button
- onlineplete the registration form (you’ll be prompted to select your child’s top THREE favorite types of books and you preferred language – English, Spanish or Haitian Creole)
- If you qualify, book delivery will begin 6-8 weeks after onlinepleting the form.
The goal of the New Worlds Reading Initiative is to encourage and improve the reading skills and confidence of all children by helping them build a personalized library at home based on their interests. So awesome!
This program hopes to reach another goal of 400,000 students within a five-year period of time. Although it’s currently only available in Florida, we’re hoping this wonderful program expands to more areas across the US!
