   FYI, Amazon is charging tax on these (unlike Target). I went through the Amazon chat and they agreed to refund the tax “as a one time courtesy” once I told them it was cheaper to purchase with my Target Red Card. Hope that helps someone!

  Thank you Lauren! I might just get it from target then. I was going to get them for my girls but not give it to them until after school is done. Like a hurrah for summer kinda thing. Why would they charge tax? That’s not right!

  Yeah, I researched a bit and gift cards aren’t taxed because you get taxed when you spend them. But maybe because it’s a gift code, it works differently. They are 10% off at Amazon instead of 5% at Target, so if you can spare the 5 minutes to open up an Amazon chat, it’s worth going through them. (And I also got them for my girls as an end of school year gift too, as they’ve both had amazing years!)
