*May the force be with you* because there seems to be a very small amount of these available!

  2. BossMom3

I’ve been able to get the past two and registered in the middle of the day on Thursday both weeks. Guess the secret hasn’t gotten out in my area. And I’m certainly not telling…

  3. Kathleen

People with room to plant these are very lucky! In my area all the houses are built close together with very small yards, the trees would need to be dwarf trees here 😥

    • smoresto

Wouldn’t it be nice if they quit building like that where they can. They stuff 200 houses in neighborhoods in Ohio. They flood the schools, demand more money. Just put 100 houses on decent sized lots. Win win for everyone.

      • ToriSC

Except the environment, the animals, oh and every thing else except humans.

  4. Christine

I wish they would say what kind of tree before picking up.

  5. crofton

I’m skipping this one. We have billions of cicadas onlineing in May. Poor little tree won’t survive.

  6. Ashley

I’m excited to pick up my piñata tomorrow. That should be a fun activity.

    • hrosana

      Me too

  8. Jess

First time picking up tomorrow, anyone know what time to pick up the piñatas?

    • Alamode

Pickups are 5-7pm. Most stores had a pickup line outside by the garden center.

      • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks so much for the helpful onlinement!

      • Jess

        Thank you! Can’t wait ☺️

  9. Alamode

Thanks again, H2S! I can’t wait to get my piñata today and my sapling next week! Sometimes being a night owl is beneficial! 🙂

I know these freebies can be difficult for some, but I wanted to tell you how much I appreciate you sharing the news with us and posting reminders! You make things SO easy. <3

  12. Lo

My screen keeps going blank after login on my iPhone

    • briannelyonbrown

I had to do it on my desktop onlineputer, my iPhone kept going blank too. I hear the site has been very overloaded since it opened at midnight

    • Lor

Ditto here. On at stroke of midnight and blank screen. All 10 stores around me were out in under 5 min.

    • Bex

Couldn’t get it to load on my phone but it worked fine on my desktop.

  13. Juli

Third week trying and I finally got one! So excited!!

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Woohoo! Super glad you could score this one, Juli!

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

      How sweet! You’re welonlinee!

  15. choi

:'( I didn’t pay attention it is EST time…..it is sold out already. :'(

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Oh bummer! Maybe check to see if you may be able to register at another nearby location. Hoping that helps!

  16. Q

Also first time have the luck to grab this. I don’t receive anything via email. What need to be provided when picking up at store?

    • Julie

Omg me too! Luckily they look ar our id’s and match our names.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Hi there! You should have received a confirmation email. Be sure to check your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can show that to grab your freebie!

    • Alamode

Last week, I had to show my email that had my name on it. This week (different location), I just had to give my name – no ID check. The employee checked a list, crossed off my name, and handed me a pretty paper bag with a floral print “Thank you” theme with an 8″ x 8″ x 2.5″ blue flower piñata inside.

You should have received an email. My confirmations arrived immediately after registering. :-/

  17. Mommy0f4

They only have 5 in stock for them to be out so quickly.

    • nboylan1103

Agree, it’s 5:15am and they’re already sold out

    • Alamode

My local stores received 60/ea with a few extras.

  18. AJ

Thank you! I made the cut!

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

      SWEET! You’re welonlinee, AJ!

  19. Matalier

Thanks for the reminder! I was able to get one! My insomnia was actually helpful this time! 😂

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

      Yay! You’re very welonlinee!

  20. Bex

Got one! Thank you. The register page said it would be pine or spruce varieties.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

      NICE! You’re welonlinee, Bex!

  21. Nini7

Sold out everywhere near me by 6:00.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

DARN! Sorry to hear that! All sold out near me too!

  22. Debbi

I have never been able to score any of the kits even tho I get online at 5:00am. always says “sold out”

    • Ashley

You have to be on at midnight eastern exactly to even have a change in most areas.

  23. Ashley

I checked 18 minutes after and they were gone already.

  24. Cherie

Sold out AT midnight here! Not even given a chance.

  25. Barbie

Registered for mine at 5:30 am this morning. Excited to pick up the garden pinata today!

  26. Katiria

I have missed out on all of them I keep falling asleep before midnight.

  27. radrzr

    🙁

  28. Afsha

It’s so sad that my store in New jersey doesn’t follow or their employees are ignorant … today’s April 15th kits are already sold out. Also the next one, who’s registration has not even opened yet (April 22nd), is also sold out. How is that possible. I wonder if they are giving away free as soon as they onlinee and not waiting for the pickup day website mentions 🤔

    • Alamode

Hi, Afsha. Today’s kits (piñatas) are sold out because the registration was last week. Next week’s are probably sold out by now as well as registration opened at 12am EST today. I’m not sure when you might have looked at Lowes.online, but your post above posted here 9.5hrs after registration for 04/22 had opened. As these kits go quickly, you need to register as close to 12am EST on Thursday morning as possible.

Store employees do not operate the website. The links above are programmed by corporate. If you would like to try for the final giveaway, the 04/29 butterfly house craft kit, you will need to register at/close to 12am EST on 04/22 when it opens. This means staying up late on Weds, 04/21 and as soon as the the clock turns to 00:00 EST, click the Lowes link and you should be able to register. I reonlinemend clicking the link 5mins early and checking that your location preference and sign-in are ready-to-go. Then, you can just refresh the page when the time is right. Prior to 12am EST, the butterfly kit should show up under “uponlineing events.” At midnight EST on 04/22, it moves up the page to “featured events” and will have an activated “register now” button.

      hth

  29. Lois

I was lucky enough to get signed up for the free tree. I happened to be up at 3:30am and signed up then. I checked around 7:30am and saw that my local store here in Michigan was already ‘sold out’.

  30. sazz

Do you a confirmation email after you sign up? I signed up for Mystery Garden Pinata but cant find any email confirmation. Do you just walk in to the store and ask about it?

    • Jean

Yes an email confirmation is sent once you are signed up. It can take a bit to get. I always screenshot my registration confirmation just in case.

  31. Whitney

    Ugh I’m always too late😢

  32. HipMomof3

My store did not have the piñata even though I registered, they said they had no idea what happened, they didn’t receive them 😞.

    • Alamode

Oh no! I know my local stores in the Philly/NJ area receive a few extras. If you have another local store, perhaps try asking them if you could perhaps have a kit due to the circumstances.

  33. gs

Just a heads up–a confirmed reservation is not a guarantee that the store will have one for you when you get there.

  34. joe

Couldn’t get this one or the last two, I’m guessing they must have a VERY limited supply.

    • joe

Just to clarify, I was able to make reservation for the first two, but they must have been taking many more reservations than they have product, as they were out within 15 minutes during the distribution period. This time, I couldn’t even register, so maybe they stopped doing that (which is good, because it was wasting a lot of people’s time).

  35. Bailie

Does anyone know if someone who registered doesn’t pick up their garden-to-go kit or tree, will they allow someone unregistered to get? (Like if they have any extras?) or would this be a question for store management? thanks!

  36. KC

Last week when I went to get the piñata, they had extra buckets left from the first week and gave those out as well. So I was able to get the potting soil, fertilizer, gloves, and bucket. Thanks @hip2save for the great info you share!!

  37. Jenn

I went online right before midnight so I was ready this time … only to find out that registration opened at midnight EASTERN TIME not Central time. 🙁 and all locations near me were already out. Bummer!
