Target has HOT holiday clearance finds! 🙌

The wait is over! Hustle on over to your local Target as Christmas items are finally marked down to 90% off at select stores! Be sure to browse around in different areas of the store and check end-caps for fun finds in home, beauty, and even apparel departments.

Make sure to scan clearance items at your local store. Many stores are still marked at 70% off, but items may scan at 90% off!

This is a fantastic time to save on holiday decor, apparel, and more for next year, plus consider grabbing cosmetic sets and candy as those are great year-round gifts!

If interested, it’s best to head to your local store soon as many stores are already wiped out (as show above) likely due to shoppers like Stetson… 😆

my target was sold out of practically everything a week before Christmas.

    • Sylvia

Same here in PA, maybe some cosmetics will be on sale

      • Faith Groes

I went to 4 Target Stores in Illinois( Joliet, Homer, Tinley Pk & New Lenox) & 1 in Dubuque, Iowa & they were totally cleared of Christmas & setting up Valentines stuff already😖

    • laceygd

      Mine too

  3. MNme

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

      Thanks for sharing with us!

  4. joni shandle

got great cosmetic gift sets nail polish and lip gloss for 1.00 because sign still said 30% and when you asked customer service they said 50%,. But both rang up 90% Woo Hoo

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

      That’s great!!!

  5. Rae

Target in Gainesville, FL was striped clean by Dec. 26, along with Wal-mart and CVS. Except for ornament hangers lol

  6. MommySpendsLess

One of my local Targets had some items left the day after Christmas but it was still only 50% off and everything was moved and clearly marked. When I went to another Target in my area yesterday I searched and scanned and they had pretty much no clearance left. There were a ton of the little hand sanitizers at 90% off, a bin of ornaments that had been tossed around for a month and a few beauty items and table runners that were clearly marked and still only 50% off. The Hearth & Hand items were nowhere to be seen and the other clearance kitchen towels were tagged and the shelves had been emptied. The toy aisles were a little better – the clearance items were all marked but a couple things rang up cheaper than the tag showed. The FAO Schwartz items that I’ve seen on several blogs were full price or still at 50%.
All in all, it was a very disappointing Target run 🙁
I miss the Valentine’s Day several years ago when I found 90% off hidden steals all over the store. Alas my local Targets are excellent at identifying clearance now.

    • Deanna

I was very disappointed with my Target too. All that was left was the hand sanitizers and ornaments. There were no hidden deals. My husband said he heard me mumble, ” Sooo disappointed” quite a few times while shopping. Lol.

  7. Jackie

Target in Kansas had nothing. Everything gone before Christmas

  8. Elaine

My favorite day of the year!! Very little actual Xmas items left, but lots of hidden clearance. I got throw pillows, baskets, vases, a shower curtain, tons of shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, face masks, nail polish, etc for 90% off. Also bought dining chairs, an accent chair with ottoman, a side table, a bench, and a pouf for 70% off.

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

Wow! Sounds like you made out really good!

    • T

do you have a picture of the chair?

    • Jane

Fantastic! Can you share what brands of home goods and personal items?

  9. Amanda

Found several hidden items mixed throughout the store this morning! Scored $500 worth of items for $50!

    • Jane

Amanda, share some details if you don’t mind! Thanks!

  10. Breanna

No Christmas left but I scored Hearth and Hand pillows, cloth napkins, shower curtains, onlineforter sets, curtains, candles etc! None of this stuff is marked, you just have to scan everything! 75-90%!

    • T

      what kind of onlineforter set?

  11. Tracy

Didn’t go looking for Christmas stuff but grabbed some large scrunchies and hidden winky lux lipstick (originally $16 marked 90% off) it was by the end cap with the winky lid makeup

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

That’s awesome! Now I need to go look for some Winky Lux markdowns!

  12. whatacutielife

Got some beauty gift set last night for 70%. Glad I got it even if it’s not 90% coz if I waited for 90% I won’t be able to find it today. Lol

  13. Christine

My Target had little Christmas merchandise before Christmas arrived! No candy, decor etc. A few gift bags and little wrapping. You can’t wait here where I live. Nothing in Magnolia Home is marked down either.

    • Kaylee

      S a m e 😭

  14. E

The magnolia stuff was all marked with yellow stickers at my target. And the FAO Schwartz, though those were 50% off. Nothing worth going back for 90% off! I got a few things at 70% off. The dollar spot hit 90% off a few days ago, though. My store hasn’t had 90% off dollar spot the last 2 years, so that was worth it. The kids Christmas pajamas were full price except for some baby girl ones— toddler boy were full price, as were the big girl ones.

  15. LG

I’m so torn. Do I go bargain hunting or stay home?! 🤣😅🙈

    • tiredday

Me too!!! But I’m wanting to move to a new house so not really looking to bring more stuff home I would need to pack and pay to move.

  16. Monique

Vegas had a good amount for it being 90% off was able to get a bunch of bath balms tissue paper a cat house pet stockings and hand sanitizer

    • Sam

Really? The target nearest me was cleaned out like it is every year and I can never find any of those hidden clearance deals 🙁 idk if it’s because we live in a big city and most of these amazing finds are in other states. Or I’m just late lol, I tried scanning so many things today but nothing was 90% so it was really disappointing, only thing that was really left was all the hand sanitizers in the back. Checked all the beauty sections for hidden gift sets, checked hearth and hand, checked all the zak cups, and found nothing! Didn’t find any of the shampoos, candles, or deodorants either. Maybe I should try shopping when it’s 70%, I did get a lot of the hand sanitizers at 70%, which was good because today the only one left was the green ones.

      • Erin

I’d bet it’s just your particular store. As a “student” of Target, 🤣 I’ve found that the best deals are in lower traffic stores. Higher inonlinee suburban neighborhoods? Not so much. Busy urban areas? No. For straight-up bargain shopping, sketchy neighborhoods tend to be good in my experience.

        • MommySpendsLess

Erin, that’s interesting and it would explain why my local Targets have been so sparse on deals lately (they’ve been building new neighborhoods like crazy the last couple years but no new Targets). Besides sketchy neighborhoods, any other low-traffic suggestions? All the Targets I can think of are near middle class neighborhoods or malls and now I’m wracking my brain to think of one or two that may be hidden gems…

  17. Betsy

I picked up a couple Christmas cat scratcher houses that were originally $15.00 for $1.50 each so I was pretty happy about that. And some Reese’s (“for the kids”) for about $1 a bag. Really picked over but I was happy to get anything on Jan 2!

  18. jacquelynhoward

Favorite find was boxes of Greenies dog treats for $0.84 each! And we found a box of Philips 50-count solar Christmas lights for $3.49!

  19. Julie

Does anyone know how long the 90 percent off discount stays in effect? One day ? Two days? Hoping to head out first thing Sunday morning when store opens and is not crowded! Thank you all for the tips and pictures of hidden clearance!

    • Alikia29

The system usually leaves it for a week but often its savaged out before then to make room for other things

  20. Monique

I wish we could post pictures here I got some great stuff for 70 and 90% off

  21. Kruiz528

Sounds like I wasn’t the only one disappointed this year. I went to two targets. Both were wiped clean. Nothing left but raggedy tissue and ugly Christmas wrappers

  22. DV

I went yesterday and there was nothing as usual at my target 😭😭😭

  23. junibug

It’s absolutely nothing left at Target in Largo, FL before New year day.

  24. Cindy

The Target stores around me always packs the leftover season’s goods and we hardly ever see anything for over 50% off. I’ve seen Target items at Bargain Hut” in our area at almost regular price! 😫😫 Also when other’s post their big discount finds, it’s are only 30% off. It so disappointing!

  25. Lara

Target is just not worth it without sales. My local small stores are better, cheaper and less hassle.

  26. MJ

I definitely noticed that a few stores around me had employees working hard to clear out any leftover Xmas stuff Saturday and Sunday when I tried to do a bargain hunt. One store seems to highlight sale stuff, (hence it was all gone by the time I made it today) while others leave it for you to price check and find. The only deals I really found were a few random children’s holiday clothing items and some troll teapots. I have been able to score more decorative items in the past, but not this year. I guess they can sell it to salvage for more than 90%? And I agree when I lived in a major metropolitan area finding deals was much harder as more people are around to actually purchase items at full price. Now I have roughly 8 targets in the same distance as I had maybe 3 before, and one I had to pay parking for at a garage!

  27. Sarah Vega

I got a Harry Potter and a Minecraft 12 days of Christmas socks box for $1.50, two Jojo Siwa dresses for $2.49 each and two Mama Bear slippers for $1.50 each but there wasn’t much more at my location.

  28. Aimee B Finkelstein

Do you buy things directly from Hip2Save? There are all these deals and I don’t know how to access them..

    • Stacy F (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Aimee, these might be be at your local Target. Clearance varies by store.
