Probably because of the Tide Pod Challenge that kids were doing a year ago or so where they would eat them 🤦 I’ve never seen them on the shelf like this at any Walgreens I’ve shopped at.

Tide pods and full size bottles are used as street currency for drugs/ black market type bartering. The pods are easy enough to remove from bag in store, rendering control sticker useless- the jugs almost always have inventory control stickers.
