NBC Just Announced Plan to End Bluprint Streaming Service
NBCUniversal has made the decision to shut down Bluprint. Known as “the Netflix of crafting,” Bluprint (formerly Craftsy) started as a platform for a la carte crafting classes before moving to a subscription model.
CEO John Levisay posted a statement on Bluprint’s website, informing customers of the platform’s impending closure. In it, he said:
“On behalf of all the Craftsy/Bluprint employees, I want to express our gratitude and appreciation to you for being with us on this journey. The remarkable work you have all done is unforgettable and has made a difference; however, our business is not sustainable in the current economic climate.”
For those wondering what will happen to the content they purchased, Bluprint is considering various options to make sure users can keep the individual classes they paid for including classes that were purchased with Bluprint’s “Forever Credits.” The onlinepany is also planning to issue prorated refunds for paid subscribers based on the streaming service’s end date.
