Walmart’s Special Grocery Pickup Hour Now Includes Pregnant Women & Caregivers of Infants
Walmart Grocery Pickup is helping those most at-risk!
Like many other retailers remaining open during the coronavirus crisis, Walmart has been adapting its policies for the safety of its members and associates.
The popular retailer has hired additional employees, launched special senior shopping hours, installed sneeze guard partitions, and even limited the number of people inside the store.
And now, select Walmart Grocery Pickup locations are offering a pickup hour for people most at-risk for COVID-19.
Each day from 7am to 8am, customers over the age of 60, first responders, customers with disabilities, pregnant women, caregivers of infants younger than 3 months and anyone designated high-risk by the CDC will be able to pop their trunk and receive their groceries contact-free – no need to sign for the order!

When shopping online, customers will see a new prompt on Walmart.online/grocery that displays the qualifications for selecting the slot listed as ‘At Risk Only’ and allows those who are eligible to opt in. While this time has been reserved for these groups, all other pickup times are open for their use as well.
