There’s a new seasoning in the spice aisle at Trader Joe’s! 🐔

Trader Joe’s Vegan Chicken-less Seasoning Salt is a new product at TJ’s that has already developed quite a fan following! It’s not just popular with vegans, and its uses go far beyond chicken-inspired dishes. In Australia, people have been sprinkling chicken-flavored seasoning salt on their French fries for years, and now this trend is catching on in the US!

From Trader Joe’s website:

Made from a blend of sea salt, onion & garlic powder, turmeric, and a handful of other spices (celery seed, ginger powder, and black pepper, to be specific), this Seasoning Salt conjures the flavor of chicken without actually containing chicken (or any other animal-based ingredients, for that matter).

While it can certainly be used to season chicken dishes and plant-based chicken substitutes, this seasoning salt is taking on a life of its own. It’s said to be delicious when sprinkled over french fries, tater tots, and vegetables. Trader Joe’s Vegan Chicken-less Seasoning Salt is sold in 3.3-ounce jars for $1.99 with the other spices at TJ’s.

Just a thought: Why not onlinebine all the individual Trader Joe’s posts into one TJ’s product post? (Ditto for Aldi and other similar stores.) It would make it much more convenient for those who shop at TJs to find one post rather than multiple individual posts.

Probably due to the sales or promotions being announced thru-out the day…

TJs doesn’t have sales. You can tell the posts are from the same shopping trip when there are several posts for a particular store even though there’s no sale/deal and the manicure remains the same. 🤣

In the app you can sort by store.

Sounds yummy! Adding it to my ever growing list!! I’ll finally be in the area on Thursday to stop at TJ’!

Really appreciate these posts highlighting new products. My local TJ is ~25 minutes away so I always make a list before I go. Love trying out all these new products. Thanks for the heads up Hip2Save 🙂

My husband is a vegetarian. When I stopped by Trader Joe’s and found this, I purchased a couple of them. I had just purchased spices from an SDA store, I was doubly happy because TJ brand is cheap.

This seasoning is pretty turmeric heavy. I find it just okay. I much prefer one made by my local spice onlinepany, Summit Tea and Spice.
