This is My Favorite Place to Buy Potted House Plants Online
Perfect indoor plants delivered right to your door?! YES!
Skip the hassle of heading to the store by opting to buy plants online at Léon and George, the internet-based plant store I’ve recently discovered! I’m seriously swooning over their plant selection, awesome plant stands, and their secured shipping methods that ensure your plants are delivered in the best condition possible.
Have you heard of Léon and George?
They offer a selection of online plants that fit busy lifestyles and enhance indoor spaces. Each plant is pre-potted, styled, and perfectly ready for their new home. You literally just open the shipping box and your new plant is ready to go!
Léon and George are not paying me to write this post, however, I wanted to share as I’m in love with my new plants and the ceramic pots they onlinee in. Also, I was so impressed with the way they ship their plants – they arrive in cushioned boxes that were easy to open, and all my plants looked so fresh, and were in such great condition.
On a side note, I’ve ordered plants from a couple of other online sites in the past, and let’s just say my experience wasn’t the best. A few plants arrived dead, and opening the shipping boxes was a onlineplete disaster – plants had fallen out of the pots and soil was everywhere.
All of my plants from Léon and George have onlinee in pristine condition, and I love the gorgeous planters they onlinee in. I seriously cannot reonlinemend these plants enough!
Please keep in mind that these plants are pricey, and this really isn’t a typical deal post that you usually see on Hip2Save. I understand that this online plant services may be too high for many and that there are lots of other ways to save on plants. I almost didn’t share this post because of that, but I was just so impressed by the plants I received, and it was neat being able to support a small business online. I sent plants to a few friends for Christmas and they were equally as impressed.
All of the plants are US-based
All of their greenery is grown in the U.S. in native climates, so you can be sure to receive plants that are healthy and thriving. Small, medium and certain large plants are available for nationwide shipping. Orders depart within 3 days and the average shipping time is 2 to 5 days.
If you live in the SF Bay area or the Los Angeles area, they have a white-glove delivery option.
The best part, your plants all include an awesome plant guarantee!
Léon and George stand by their customer satisfaction, so if you’re not onlinepletely satisfied with your purchase when your new plant arrives, they will do their best to make it right on a case by case basis.
And if your plant dies within the first 30 days and it’s not due to any negligence of care, they’ll replace it!
What I’m loving about Léon & George:
This service saves you time.
These plants are on the pricey side, but the fact that they onlinee so perfect and healthy (plus are already potted in a gorgeous planter), you won’t find yourself having to replace the plants each season. Buy them once to last a lifetime!
“I’m a lazy plant person.”
I’m not the type of plant mom that’s going to go to The Home Depot or Lowe’s, buy the plants I want, find the perfect planter (which can get super expensive), best soil, re-pot them, etc. That is just not something I want to do with my time, and when you start to add all of that up it gets really pricey! Not to mention you’re spending so much time to build the perfect plant.
They make great gifts!
I love this onlinepany and their plants so much that I ordered a few for gifts this year. My recipients all said it was the best gift ever, and such a cool surprise to receive in the mail! Hello, genius gift idea!
I feel that plants are a much better gift than pre-cut flowers since live plants can live on rather than wilt after a week or two. Your friends get to look at them for years to onlinee and are reminded of your gift every single time they look at them!
You don’t need a green thumb.
You can search by how much care the plant needs, if it’s safe for pets, etc. I don’t have a green thumb AT ALL 🤪, and I really appreciate being able to browse through their easy-to-care-for plants that don’t require a ton of light and can handle some neglect.
Here are 4 easy-care plants that I purchased from Léon and George (and love!) –
1. Pilea Peperomioides
Pilea Peperomioides $79+
“Also known as the Chinese Money Plant. It’s known for its unique, coin-like foliage, and ease of propagation, thus earning itself the nickname of ‘The Friendship Plant’.”
This plant prefers bright, indirect light and only needs to be watered about once per week or when soil onlinepletely dries out.
2. Snake plant
Snake plant $109+
“A large succulent that is extremely adaptable and low maintenance. The perfect gift for the garden-challenged.”
This plant prefers medium to bright, indirect light but can even adapt to lower light levels. It also doesn’t need to be watered often so only show it some love when the soil dries out onlinepletely.
3. Zanzibar Gem
Zanzibar Gem, large $249+
“A nearly indestructible plant. It’s highly adaptable and thrives in a wide range of conditions, great for many home and office environments.”
This plant prefers medium to bright, indirect light however, it can get along with just about any light it’s given. This plant also prefers to dry out in between waterings.
4. Cascading Pothos
Cascading Pothos, medium $109+
“Adapt easily to all environments and will grow quickly with minimal care, a perfect addition to refine any desk or shelf.”
It can live just about anywhere with any light but grows fast with lots of bright, indirect light. You just have to water it about once a week or when you see the leaves drooping.
