This Reader Decorated a Room on a Budget w/ Thrift Store Finds!
Taking a trip to your local Goodwill?
One man’s trash is another man’s treasure, and that’s one thing you’ll find onlinemonly when visiting your local Goodwill! This week’s Happy Friday Reader, Rachel, scored some incredible items to help spruce up her kiddos’ bedroom!
Almost all my home design lately has either been thanks to Goodwill finds or free stuff from relatives with a little customization. For the girls’ room, I was able to find the perfect painting of a little girl with a golden frame from Goodwill to go with a series of 3 mini canvases I won at a baby shower :).
The dresser is one-of-a-kind. It’s made from a scratch-finish changing station an aunt gave us and an emerald green piece with dollar store bins on top. We also used glossy paint and a set of mix-and-match knobs I found a while back on a clearance sale at Anthropologie. In total, I spent $18 on the artwork and upgraded dresser, counting the bit of paint – a Happy Friday project indeed!
Rachel, your girls’ room looks incredible! With a little sourcing and some motivation, you can onlinepletely renovate any room at the best price with quality items. 🤩
