This Reader Created a Memorable Gift from Christmas Clearance Finds
Here’s a creative use for some of your clearance finds!
After the holidays, you can score some serious clearance deals! Even better, these deals can be used as gifts for next year. This week’s Happy Friday reader Connie created an extra special gift for her sister, at the best price!
My sister is the cookie baker of the family. Last year, I shopped the Christmas clearance at Michaels once it got down to 90% off. I found this “Gingerbread Baking Co” cookie tin that I thought would make a cute gift for her. But then I found this dollhouse Christmas buffet in the same sale and knew that I wanted to make a decoration instead.
The snowman cake with an elf on top was a Hallmark ornament on clearance. The wallpaper is a Christmas wrap. I picked up the chair and window from a Buy Nothing group member who was thinning her crafting supplies, and of course, the scene in the window is from a Christmas card. My sister loved her gift this year, and now I am shopping the clearance shelves again!
