Dollar Tree Recalls Over 1 Million Hot Glue Guns Due to Fire & Burn Hazards
The CPSC is recalling Crafter’s Square Hot Glue Guns sold at Dollar Tree and Family Dollar. This is after a potential “malfunction when plugged in, posing fire and burn hazards”.
About 1,025,000 of these specific hot glue guns have been sold in the United States and an additional 20,000 sold in Canada. The recall is a result of seven reported malfunctions of which four were fire-related incidents and one reported skin irritations.
If you own this glue gun, immediately stop using it and return it to any Dollar Tree or Family Dollar for a refund of around $1. These hot glue guns were sold around August 2020 through February 2022 for both chain stores. You can see a photo of the product below.
If you’ve also experienced a fire or burn hazard due to this hot glue gun, contact either Dollar Tree or Family Dollar (wherever you made the purchase).
